Cowboys Wood Album

Hi Ya'll,

Are you ready for some football? Super Bowl is tomorrow! Got your snacks ready to go? Your team gear laid out to wear?

I'm sure some of you have some football fans at your house. At my house, I'm the ONLY football fan, and the only gal. My guys just aren't into sports. But they do support and tolerate Mom tying up the TV all day Sunday! LOL!

To show just how much they support my newest addiction, they planned at trip to Dallas last summer for the Cowboys vs. Texans preseason game for a Mother's Day gift.

When I received the Blank 6 X 8 Wood Album AND the newly released 2 Piece Wood Star I knew JUST what to do with them...

Create a mini book to hold the photos from that special trip...

The Wood Albums by Clear Scraps can be painted, inked, stained or covered with paper to embellish them. I used a combo, I painted the covers silver, then embellished with printed paper. I separated the 2 Piece Wood Star and used the pieces separately. I painted the larger one silver and backed it with printed paper to hold part of my book title. For the smaller star, it was painted blue and embellished with a cowboys helmet and team name.

I made pages for my book using chipboard, but for a sturdier book, you could use multiple albums as pages.

I added stamped journaling spots and stickers to further embellish my mini book.

Once I was done, I put it together with book rings and tied on a ribbon with football stickers at each end.

Here is a short video showing you the book and pages inside.
