Family Desktop Word Frame

I am SOOO excited about this new product from Clear Scraps!!
This new Family Desktop DIY Word Frame is brilliant in its design!

I started off by adhering all four pieces onto pattern paper.

Carefully cut away the excess pattern paper using your handy dandy craft knife.

I also took a moment to add some distress ink along the edges, and then added in some Pearl accents and let them dry.

Once dry it's time to get the base adhered together. I find this next part helpful. Once you adhere the small base to the larger, take the standing frame slats, and put them in the two holes to help line the bases together, and don't remove it until the base is dry, five minutes or so.

I removed mine too early and caused the slats to be off just a smidge when I removed it, causing my frame not to sit down in the holes properly.

I printed my photo out to 3.75 x 5.5" and adhered it to the family base.

Now comes the beautiful frame. I found it helpful to use these cheap little clamps I found at a tool store so I wasn't continually making sure the frame was staying adhered and not lifting up.

While this was drying I adhered the new chipboard butterfly to pattern paper and cut it out with my craft knife.

Next, embellish until you're happy! :)
