Cats Meow Deco Wood Shape

Hi ya'll, 

new Design Team member Tami here today with a project I made using the new Deco Wood Shape which comes in a pack of 3 and measures 9 1/2" X 7.

The size is great for creating an art piece for the wall or to display.

I also incorporated another brand spanking new product; the Mini Paw/Heart Shaker, the perfect embellishment to show your love for your favorite pet.

We all love our pets and treat 'em like family, so why not create a special decor piece featuring your favorite furry critter.

First, I adhered a pawprint printed paper to the upper half of the Deco Wood Shape and white cardstock to the bottom half.

For the border, I adhered a row of dot printed paper to a 3/4" piece of brown cardstock and adhered this piece over where the 2 paper on the Deco Wood Shape met.

I used a file to remove excess paper from around the edges.

Next, I stenciled "Sonni" in blue ink on the white cardstock using abc Lower Case Letter Stencils and added a loose outline in black pen.

I used all 4 layers to make the Heart/Paw Shaker.

Here's how I prepped them:

I painted the top layer white and added some loose outlines around the edges to match the letters.

For the bottom solid layer, I cut a piece of coordinating paper to adhere to the paw portion.

I printed a photo and cut it to fit the heart portion of the shaker.

To assemble:

I adhered 2 of the plain chipboard shapes on top of the solid base.

Then I adhered the clear plastic protector piece on back of the painted top piece, and adhered the photo behind it.

I added the blue and white sequins from the Ocean Sequins to the paw portion of the shaker.

Then topped the base with the painted layer with the photo.

The Mini Paw/Heart Shaker was then adhered to the center top of the Deco Wood Shape.

Perfect to display or hang to show off your pet, or you could make one to give as a gift, or both!

You could also just make the Mini Paw/Heart Shaker and add a magnet on the back to display on your fridge.
