Brand New Wood Flip Flops

Hey, Clear Scraps friends!!
I am so excited to share with you one of the new releases featuring these adorable XL Wood Flip Flops!

I followed an acrylic painting tutorial on youtube to create this beautiful moonlit beach-scape.

Before I did that though, I applied gesso to the flip flops and let it dry. That way the acrylic would flow easier over the wood.

Once that dried I painted the scene on the background.

I lined up where I wanted the strap to lie, and then painted it to match the background, making it appear 3D-ish.
Once that dried, I used my crop o dile to punch small holes underneath the tip of the straps so I could create a wall hanging. Tie your twine through the holes, then adhere the straps to the flip flops using a good liquid adhesive.

I had started off with the idea of adding in the brand NEW chipboard umbrella and a beach chair or adding a quote along the lines of "The Beach is my Happy place", but I couldn't bring myself to cover up any of the scenery. I think it looks so cool hanging on my wall.

Stay tuned for more awesome inspiration!!
