Birthday Cake Card
January 14, 2020
Hello everyone and welcome to another project.
I am very excited to show you what I have created using some of the new
items from Clear Scraps.
Today's project is a super cute and easy card.
I am using the new Birthday Cake Chipboard Embellishment.
I knew as soon as I got this what I wanted to do with it!!
I started out with making my card base. I made an A2 size card with the fold at the top.
I added 2 layers of pattern paper that I distressed the edges.
I added a piece of white crocheted lace.
For the cake embellishment I added pattern paper to the back, to make
it look like how a fancy cake would look when covered in fondant.
I added Nuvo drops to the front of the cake. The Nuvo drops gave it an icing appearance.
I spread the Nuvo drops like I was coloring the chipboard.
I gave it a very nice thick coat.
I used a different color on the candles.
To give the flames that flame look, I used gold stickles.
Once I adhered the chipboard piece to my card, I finished it off with
a few flowers and a bow.
Very simple card, but oh so cute!!
Thanks for stopping and see you next time!
Kim :)
