Hello everyone... We are at the end of November and it is official that Christmas is 25 Days from today!!! Can't you all believe it? Getting ready for this jolly holiday, today I would love to share a couple Christmas card ideas that you can create using Clear Scraps 4x6 stencils and 6" Stencil. These stencil size is just perfect for making cards and other handmade gifts.
Both of my cards are mixed media cards. First card, I use the 4x6 Nativity Stencil. I started with creating the night sky watercolored background using Sakura Koi Watercolor Paints and waterbrush. On a piece of watercolor paper, I mixed and blended the colors and then I dried it with craft heater.
After that, I added some white splatters on it with white acrylic paint and little bit of water. I use small flat brush to add the splatters. I dried the panel again with craft heater. And then, I cut it with Pierced Rectangle Dies.
I mixed embossing paste with fine iridescent glitter on my craft mat, then I divided into two parts. One part, I mixed it with Black gelato and the other one I let it be as it is.
I sprayed the back of the stencil with stencil spray (temporary adhesive spray will work, too), so the stencil will stay on the paper. If you don't have the spray, you can secure the stencil with washi tapes or painter tape.
I added the white glitter embossing paste mix on the stars section only, and then I added the black glitter embossing paste on the rest of the image.
Once the embossing paste dried well, I added the finished background panel on a white card with permanent adhesive runner, then I added the sentiment tag, and tied up the twine ribbon around it.
For the second card, I used the 4x6 Pine Cone Stencil and 6x6 Crystal Snowflakes. On this card, I used the same technique with the first card.
On a watercolor paper, I used watercolor paints to create the light blue sky background and then I dried it with craft heater.
I used the Shimmer Creative Medium Paste. I had one part of paste mixed with brown gelato that I used on the pine cone and branch, and the other part mixed with green gelato that I used for the leaves. When they dried, I colored the pine cone with watercolor paint. And I dried it with craft heater.
I used the left over white embossing glitter from the first project. I added the paste with the Crystal Snowflakes stencil randomly on the panel. I added some white splatters on the panel with white acrylic paint and water using flat brush.
Once all the images dried well, I trimmed the panel into 4.25" x 5.5". I added the sentiment on it, and then I wrapped around the twine ribbon.
I added the green glitter cardstock on the white card with adhesive runner. Then, I added the finished panel, slightly angle, on the card with 3D foam tape for extra dimension.
I hope these cards inspire you to create your Christmas projects. Visit Clear Scraps Store to check on all their 4x6 Stencils and 6x6 Stencils. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today, have a fabulous day!
