Hi everyone! Laura here to share some summer sunshine with you today!
Do you have some summer pictures to scrap, but you feel like your stuck in a rut?
Whenever I feel like I want to do something a little different, I grab one
of the Clear Scraps 12x12 Acrylic sheets and then get creative with layers!
With the acrylic, you can play with so many different things!
I brushed some acrylic paint around the edges on this LO.
You can use alcohol inks or stamp with Staz On ink.
A lot of different options! I also used the Clear Scraps
4x6 Sunrise Stencil to add a fun element to highlight the picture.
I used a yellow acrylic paint dauber to apply paint thru the
stencil directly onto the 12x12 acrylic sheet. Then I
traced thru the stencil onto a piece of patterned paper
to create the center of the sunshine. I inked the
edges of the paper to finish the "sunshine".
I really love how it turned out! The peach color paper
behind the sunshine is a 9x9 square of paper adhered
down behind the LO. It shows thru because of the
clear acrylic....love that! Just make sure you
remove the protective coating layer on both sides of
the 12x12 sheet. It peels off fairly easily, but keeps
your acrylic sheet protected until your ready to use it!
I also wanted to add another fun little element,
and the Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Shovel.
This adds a cute little embellishment....it's been
painted with acrylic paint, then inked around the
edges, and a few sequins added before it was glued
together. I used the Clear Scraps Fall Sequins.
It looks a little like sand, don't you think?
Hope you enjoyed the project today! I'm still trying
to decide if I want a title or journaling, so I've kept it
simple today. Check out the store to grab your
own acrylic sheet to create something fun yourself!
