Floral Wood Card with Clear Scraps & Joy Clair Stamps
June 20, 2019
Hi everyone! It's Annie, and today, as part of our collaboration with Joy Clair Stamps, I'm sharing a fun floral wood card that's perfect to send a happy hello. The wood cards from Clear Scraps can be customized in tons of ways and can be a fun departure from ordinary paper cards.
I started by painting all sides of both pieces of the Hearts Wood Card a bright spring green with acrylic paint. Once dry, I laid the 6x6 Quatrefoil Stencil on top of the card front and sponged gold gilding wax through it around the edges using a foam blending tool.
Next, I stamped several images from the Doodle Flowers stamp set onto white cardstock using alcohol-friendly ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I fussycut them out and adhered them to the front of the card using strong liquid glue.
I adhered a pieced of patterned paper (sponged around the edges with the same gold gilding wax) to the front of the other card panel so that it would show through the cute heart cut-out on the card front. Another little floral image added to the interior corner brings the doodled style of the images inside.
To finished the card off, I knotted the two panels together using a bit of rustic twine and added a tiny gold glitter die-cut greeting with strong liquid adhesive just above the hearts.
I hope you enjoyed this fun wood card project and thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for even more inspiration during our collaboration week with Joy Clair Stamps!
~ Annie
