Acrylic 12x12 LO-Splash of Paradise
May 17, 2019
Hi everyone! Laura here to share with you today!
I've got a fun mixed media type LO created on
one of the Clear Scraps 12x12 Acrylic Sheets!
I've got to ask, have you tried an Acrylic Sheet LO yet?
They add a fun element to any LO, and are so
easy to create with! With the ability to paint,
or stamp, or even just use paper, it can only
be limited by your own creativity!
To create this background, I started with one of the
Clear Scraps stencils, the 6" Circles background stencil.
I used alcohol inks in 2 shades of blue, and dabbed them
on the acrylic sheet thru the stencil using a sponge.
To give it a little more interest, I added a third color,
the yellow, which I just dripped on here and there.
The rule of threes is always a good idea when
you are applying colors like this.
The circles stencil reminded me of bubbles, so
it seemed like the perfect choice for this LO!
To create the cluster of "ocean finds" along the edge
of the LO, I used several of the awesome
chipboard pieces available from Clear Scraps.
The Sanddollar chipboard set was perfect, and I
just painted the pieces with acrylic paint, and then
brushed a little brown ink around the edges and
added a touch of sparkle with some glitter glue.
I tucked in a few embellishment pieces into some
netting to create the border, and stapled on
a piece of nautical looking rope.
The word splash is another great goodie from
Clear Scraps. One of their Expression
Clear Word Titles. I used the same
alcohol inks to add a little pop of color
and then glued to the project to finish it off.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,
and I hope you're inspired to give the
Clear Scraps Acrylic Sheets a try!
