Spring cards with the Swallowtail Butterfly Stencil by Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with some really sweet cards using the 6" Swallowtail Butterfly stencil by Clear Scraps.  This stencil has four different butterflies and each one of them look amazing.   
 

The design was inspired by vintage elements in my craft room.  I love all things vintage!  The card front is actually canvas material stamped on and then distress oxide ink was applied, on the script stamp, and then stenciled, using the 6" Swallowtail Butterfly stencil by Clear Scraps.  Vintage embellishments were added also.   The canvas was mounted on white cardstock.


The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock and then shaded with the same color of distress oxide ink used on the card front.  Vintage lace and buttons were added.  The cards were mounted on a Kraft folded card base.  The size is especially sweet, 4" x 4".  


Each one of the cards has a unique vintage look.  This same design could be applied to many of the stencil images by Clear Scraps. One that comes to mind is the 6" Beach Fun stencil.  This stencil has sea shell images that would be gorgeous created similar to these.   All you need is a focal image, for the center cluster.  Stencils work great for this technique!
