Welcome everyone to this short tutorial on how I created this Scalloped Wood Phone Stand by Clear Scraps.
First let me tell you what products I have used. I have used the Scalloped Wood Phone Stand, the Floral 2 Boarder Stencil, and the Fence Chipboard Embellishments.
I started out painting on some crackle base coat. I let that dry for about 15 minutes before adding ivory paint. Once everything was completely dry I inked the fence with Walnut Stain distress ink from Tim Holtz. The ink really made the cracked paint stand out. I wanted it to look somewhat weathered.
My next step was to add pattern paper to the base piece (forgot to take picture of that) of the stand and the backing piece. I then used some modeling paste and the Floral 2 Boarder Stencil to add texture to the back piece of the stand. I really need to get new paste, it didn't go on very smooth, not they way I wanted it to anyways. I finished it off by inking all around the edges with the distress ink.
My final step was glueing the wood fence to the front and adding the base plate.
I love how this turned out. Thanks for joining me for this easy and simple project. Please visit the store to get your supplies to create this!!
