Journey Key Board with Clear Scraps!!

Hi, Connie here with a handmade key board using the wood script word "Journey" and the mini pallet images by Clear Scraps.   The mini pallet images make great key rings for house and car keys.   Clear Scraps has a great assortment of script words for your own customized project.  Check it out ~ Script Wood Words.



Instructions:



The key board was constructed using scrap wood.  The back board was covered with a vintage map using Beacon's Fast Finishing Decoupage.  A frame was added and then painted with acrylic paint.  Next the script word "journey" was painted to match the frame of the key board.  After it was dry, the edges were sanded down to give it a distressed look.
The word was then adhered to the middle of the key board using Beacon 527 glue.



Cup hooks were added under the frame of the key board.  Next the key rings were created using the mini Star pallet shape and the mini Texas pallet shape. 
The pallet shapes were covered with vintage map paper and shaded with yellow ink.  The crop-a-dile was used to punch a hole, in the top of the mini pallet shapes, for the key ring to be inserted.

This was a fun project to create and our keys have a new home.  Clear Scraps have new wood products that are great for DIY projects and home decor.  They are easy to work with and look fabulous!!!
