Hope Deco Medium Pallet

Hello friends! Jennifer here to share a home decor project I  created with a few of the new Clear Scraps products released this past January!  Its tough to pick what is my favorite but I  do love the Medium Pallet Shapes! They are the perfect size to create your own home decor projects!

Beginning with the Deco Medium Pallet Shape, I  applied a light coat of chalk paint in patina.  I  allowed some of the wood to show through in certain areas. You can also take sanding paper to the front of your pallet once the paint is dry to create a distressed look.

The chalk paint dries pretty fast; one of the many reasons why I  love using it on the Clear Scraps wood!  I  secured my Hope Is 4x6 Stencil to the pallet with washi tape before applying chalk paint to the surface. I   added paint in small amounts to prevent bleeding underneath my stencil.

Here is a close up of the end result!

While waiting for my pallet to dry, I  painted frame of the Mason Jars Chipboard Embellishment with white chalk paint. Again, I  allowed some of the chipboard to show because I  wanted a distressed look.

I  took the base of the Mason Jar and applied Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. I  then "flipped" the chipboard over and placed face down on the back side of the patterned paper I  wanted to use.

Using my scissors, I  cut around the shape to remove excess paper. You may also use a sanding tool to smooth any edges.

I  then adhered the two pieces of chipboard together, added some bakers twine and adhered to my pallet.  From my stash, I  adorned the Mason Jar with glitter flowers using pop dots so they would stand out.

To finish, I  used two of my hand punches to add butterflies for accent.  I  also punched holes at the top of my pallet so I  could string seam binding through in order to hang my project.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!  I  hope this inspires you to do some creating with one of the many new Clear Scraps products!

Have a great day!
