Mouse DIY Pallet Shape

Hello friends and happy Monday! It's Jennifer and I'm on the blog to share the Mouse DIY Pallet Shape for my project! I  love the DIY Pallet Shapes as they are so fun for home decor!  I  created a fun Disney themed door hanger using a favorite photo from a recent trip to Orlando! I  started by painting my pallet with black acrylic paint. 

I  love the new Mouse 2 Chipboard Embellishments and wanted to use them to highlight my pallet! I  began by applying a coat of black acrylic paint to both shapes. 

Once my paint was dry, I  used embossing ink and powder to add sparkle to the chipboard. My original plan was to have both mouse shapes be all black but I  then remembered that I  had some fun red glitter embossing powder in my stash! 

Here is the end result of the embossing! I  love how the red bow turned out!  :) I  adhered both shapes with my Beacon 3-in-1 Craft glue.

 I  added small embellishments for journaling and to accent my pallet. Lastly, I  used a hole punch at the top of my pallet so I  could string ribbon to hang my project.

Welcome New Clear Scraps Designers!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to apply for our 2019 Design Team Call!  It was difficult to choose from the many talented artists!

We would like to welcome to the Clear Scraps family three new designers! I'm sure they will amaze us with their creations this coming year!

 I am an avid scrapbooker, card maker, and mixed media creator.  I haven't met too many paper crafts that I don't like! I have 2 energy levels -  high speed or asleep :D .  I work full time as a Division Director managing 11 a terrific team of 11 and juggling over 10 different programs!  That being said I am mostly a weekend crafter!

My creative style is all over the board. One project will be clean and simple while the next is funky! I love stamping, embossing and mixing multiple products in my creations!

I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we recently  celebrated our 27th anniversary!  We have 3 amazing ( and sometime exhausting) children! And they love, love, love everything Disney!

I am so excited to be part of the creative team here at Clear Scraps and cannot wait to share my creations with you!

Hi, I’m Annie Williams and I live in Pennsylvania with my husband of 13 years, a 3 year old boy full of crazy energy, a little girl we recently welcomed into our lives, and two cats.  I am a scientist by training, but I have always been interested in art and art history as well.  Although I have been crafting for most of my life, I only just started my blog a few years ago and have enjoyed sharing a mix of home decor, handmade card, and gift ideas ever since. I'd characterize my style as simple and traditional, but I love to experiment with new types of media and various coloring techniques. Hi everyone, my name is Steph Ackerman and I live in New York with my husband, a college aged son and one very photogenic dog.

I am a CHA Designer Member and have been creating for as long as I can remember. 

I create a variety of projects from cards to canvases to mixed media projects to DIY and more. 

I generally don't start out with a plan in mind as I  love to experiment and see what happens. 

My day isn't complete if I haven't spent some time creating and/or teaching.

I have a dedicated studio where I create as well as teach a wide assortment of classes.

 

I have had the privilege of designing for numerous manufacturers and have been published in numerous magazines.

Clear Scraps Phone Stand

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a Clear Scraps phone stand.

Clear Scraps Phone Stands come in a variety of styles and sizes. 

I'm using the Vintage Wood Phone Stand which has a pretty scallop shape and measures approximately 4" x 8".

I painted each piece with pink paint, then added a touch of dark pink ink around the edges.

Next I cut pattern paper to fit the front of the phone stand.

It looks too pretty to place a phone on doesn't it?

Circle Scallop Mini Album

Hi Friends! Can you believe it's March already? Time flies when you're crafting and living life!

Today I'm sharing this super duper cute 3x8 Chipboard Circle Scallop Album. It's brand new this year and  so fun to work with.

I started off by laying out all the album peices and painting all around the edge, on both sides of the chipboard album.

Doing this allows me to add color to each page in the album, while also allowing me to easily add pattern paper without having to cut it out using a craft knife. Starting from small to large, I cut my pattern paper as follows, two for each side of the album:

3 x 2 1/2"
3 x 3 1/2"
3 x 4 1/2"
3 x 5 1/4"
3 x 6"
3 x 7 1/4"

Once you have them all cut out, time to adhere them to your album pages, and embellish!

I used two book rings to secure my album together. Once it was all together, I used enamel accents and placed small little decorative dots and circles on the circles and eyelets of each page album.

Bunny Pallet decor with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a decor piece, for your home, and just in time for Spring.  I created this with the Lrg. Bunny Pallet shape by Clear Scraps.   This shape is perfect for  front door decorations, I can even see using it in a garden of flowers.

  


This is a pretty simple project to create.  I love quick and easy and looking fabulous!!!  Start by painting the bunny pallet with acrylic paint.  Let dry and then sand down the edges and sides, to give the pallet a distress look.  Watering down the paint will help with the distressed look also.   The next process is adding the stencil pattern, to random spots, on the bunny pallet.   I chose a pink and blue acrylic paint that coordinated well with the bright green paint I used on the bunny.

Speckle with white acrylic paint.  I love to water the paint down and use a tooth brush to splatter.  So easy to control the paint splatters this way.



I used paper ribbon to create the bow for around the bunny's neck,  bringing in all three colors used, green, pink and blue.  I used a darker shade of blue to paint the chipboard kite with.  I stenciled over the kite with the plaid stencil that I used on the bunny pallet.  The kite was then attached to the center of the paper bow.  The last thing I did was I added a small white heart (painted) to the bottom right corner of the bunny.  Add holes to the ears for a hanger.  I used the crop-a-dile tool for this.

Baby Chipboard Mixed Up Album

Hello friends! Happy Friday! It's Jennifer and I'm on the blog today to share one of the fabulous new products from Clear Scraps!  I'm a layout girl but my second love is mini albums! So, I   was so excited to see the new Chipboard and Acrylic Mix Match Albums! For today's project, I  used the Chipboard Mixed Up Album.  It measures 3x8 inches total and has cascading pages that increase in size. 

I    began by painting the front and back of my chipboard pages with white acrylic paint. For most of them, I  painted the edges about an inch in since I  knew I    would be covering them with paper.  

I  used white cardstock for my photo mats and I  found that using wallet size works best. I  also used additional patterns underneath my white cardstock for more color! 

I  utilized the 3x4 Journaling cards to add extra pages for more journaling or photos.  Here, I  added extra embellishments to accent!

For this page, I  cut and scored a longer piece of patterned paper to fold and hide additional photos. I  love thinking of clever ways to add into my albums.
