Hello and happy Monday! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a canvas I created with one of the new XL Script Wood Words! These new products have a variety of uses from wreaths to standing alone! They also make a bold title for layouts as I've done here for my canvas! I thought the Family XL Script Wood Word worked perfectly with a favorite photo of my kids with my niece and nephew.
To distress my XL Script Wood Word, I first painted it in a grey chalk paint. After allowing it to dry, I used a tea light candle to rub wax over the surface of my Wood Word. Next, I painted with white chalk paint in small sections scraping off the excess as I went. This helps create the worn look you see here. For reference, I'm attaching an older YouTube video in which I used this same technique.
I then attached my XL Script Wood Word to my page using Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. Using embellishments from the collection I used, I added accents around my title.
Thank you for coming to the blog and reading! Check out the XL Script Wood Words in the Clear Scraps shop! Have a great day!
