Heart Phone Stand by Nancy

Hello, everyone!

It's Nancy here with a new project share for Clear Scraps!

Today I'm sharing another of the fabulous wood phone stands!

It's called the Heart Wood Phone Stand, and you can find it HERE.

I used the 6" Plaid Stencil from Clear Scraps to decorate it.

Isn't it a pretty piece?

IMG_0298

It's made up of two pieces of wood.

The one just slides into the slots in the other, once it's been decorated.

I used a rose pink Pickling Gel to for my base later.

Then I applied the Prima Sparks - Butterfly Spells through the stencil.

It's got such beautiful shimmer and shine!

It's so pretty on it's own,

and so practical once you put your phone on it!

Love You More Banner by Steph

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a banner using one of the new wood quotes - Love you More XL Script Wood Quote.

Love-banner-clearscraps-2-steph-ackerman

Begin by removing the film from one side of the banner  and then painting it with white acrylic paint. Allow to dry before removing the film from the opposite side, as the film protects the panel from paint leakage.  Cut pattern paper to fit the reverse side and adhere. I wanted a hint of pattern paper to show and the paint provided a nice hazy effect.  Using red ink, ink around the edges of the panel.  Glue pom pom ribbon to the edge.  Once dry, glue metallic trim on top.

Spritz wood quote with Fireworks! Angel Pink Shimmery Craft Spray.   Add additional color with Rocket Red ink pad around the edges.  Assemble a fabric flower with a pretty brad and glue to the "O" in You.

Adhere the quote with foam adhesives for dimension.  Add 2 additional flowers to the banner with brads.  Run ribbon through the holes to use as a hanger.

Thanks for stopping by.

Other Supplies:  Imagine ink and craft spray, ribbon, flowers, metallic trim

Magical Plaque DIY Pallet Shape

Hello and happy Friday! It's Jennifer and I'm on the blog to share a project I  created with a few of the new Clear Scraps releases! I  am loving all of the wood home decor products as well as the new Farmhouse Wood Stencils!  I used the Plaque Medium DIY Pallet Shape as my base with the Magical Farmhouse Wood Stencil for a Disney themed project!

Clear_Scraps_Magical_Wood_Pallet

I  began by painting my Pallet with black acrylic paint. I  covered it with two coats just to be sure all spots were painted.  Once dry, I  secured my Farmhouse Wood Stencil to the top of the pallet with painters tape.  Using metallic texture paint, I  lightly dabbed a couple coats onto the wood.  I  made sure I  went slow to prevent bleeding underneath my stencil.

Here is the end result of the stenciling! It's hard to see in the photo but there is a bit of shimmer to the paste!

As a fun accent, I  adhered the Mouse Mini Pallet Shape to the top of my Pallet! It was the perfect size to fit a favorite photo of my daughter from a past trip to Orlando! I  used my hot glue gun to secure the Mini Pallet Shape to the larger pallet.

I  added embellishments to accent as well as utilized my circle punches to adhere different patterns to the front of the pallet.

Along with the circles, I  added smaller chipboard embellishments such as hearts, stars and printed circles. To finish, I  punched holes in the top of my pallet to string ribbon for hanging.

New Mermaid Fin wood pallet

Hey Clear Scraps friends! Leah here with you today to share my project using the Brand new Fin Wood Pallet.
I gotta admit, the ONLY thing I saw when looking at this is part of a mermaid tail, and that's what I went with when decorating it.

Mermaid

This was sooo much fun to work with. I prepared a video showing my process in making this.

One thing I found out about two weeks after I created the sign was that due to the glitter underneath Sophia's name, you should take some time to seal your vinyl using mod podge or more acrylic sealer. I had to go back and apply a new vinyl name to her sign so it will hold up longer now. That's the fun in learning as you go. :)

DIY project with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a fun project using the new Medium DIY Pallets with the new Script Word Quotes by Clear Scraps.  These were designed to go together and they look fabulous all dolled up with paint and pretty paper.   My projects were painted with acrylic paint, but paper looks amazing too.

These were created with the clean "beach" look.  I hope you see it too!!!!

Instructions:
The pallet shapes were painted, with watered down acrylic paint, giving the project a colored stained look.  The wood grain is still peeking through the paint.  The script wood quotes are painted with off white acrylic paint.  I did not water the paint down for this.   When all painted pieces were dry, the edges were sanded to give the distress look (that I so love)!  I added holes to the top of the Medium Pallets with the crop-a-dile tool.   I used heavy twine for the hanger.  When it was all put together the pallets were speckled with white acrylic paint.  The easiest way for me to achieve that perfect splat is by using an old toothbrush.  Easy to control the splats!!  Just water down the paint that you are splatting with.

Flower DIY Pallet Shape

Hello! Happy Friday! It's also a new month which means we are closer to spring! After the deep freeze the Midwest had this week I  am so ready!  Today, I'm sharing the Flower DIY Pallet Shape that I  created as a fun spring-themed door hanger!

Clear_Scraps_Flower_Wood_Pallet_Shape

I  began by painting my pallet with chalk paint in patina.  It's a nice bright color for spring!  I  also painted the new Welcome XL Script Wood Word in white acrylic paint. These are perfect for the new pallet shapes or to be the centerpiece of a layout or art project! After allowing my paint to dry, I  sanded the top of the my Wood Word to give it a distressed look.

Clear_Scraps_Flower_Pallet_Shape2

For accent, I  used my Silhouette to cut rolled flowers in different sizes to cluster around my Wood Word.  I  also added in paper flowers from my stash, as well.

Clear_Scraps_Flower_Wood_Pallet_Shape4

For my leaves, I  used a wood grain patterned paper which I  thought was great contrast!  After finishing, I  used my Crop-o-dile to punch holes at the top of my Wood Pallet. I    then threaded white seam binding  through to create a way to hang  my Pallet on the door!
