Medium DIY Heart Pallet -- I Love Us

Hi there!  Laura here sharing a post with you today!

I've got a project using one something that is one of my

favorite items from Clear Scraps, the

Medium DIY Pallet Shapes.

LOVE these things!  You can ink them, paint, stain,

stamp, whatever your "heart" desires!  And with all

the shapes to choose from, you can easily find one

to fit any project you'd like to make.  You can find them

all in the store right HERE.

For this project, I chose the Heart Medium DIY Pallet shape.

I decided to use paper to cover it, so I traced it

onto the paper,  and added little marks where the slats are,

then cut out around the heart, and used a trimmer

to cut the pieces to fit the slats.

I inked all the edges, and then glued them onto

the pallet using Beacon Adhesive.

Next up, I added one of the XL Script Wood Quotes.

The "I Love Us" quote was perfect for my project

since it's all about family!

It's painted with gray acrylic paint, and then I went

over the gray with white acrylic paint in a dauber

bottle to give it a little more texture.

To finish it off I added some pearls.

Before I glued the Script Word down,

I decorated the upper right corner of the heart,

using a 3x4" journal card and a few stickers.

I thought the saying was a great reminder for the new

year, that not everything is perfect all the time,

but the joy is in the journey your family is on

together, building their very own story.

These moments and memories are why "I LOVE Us"!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hope you are inspired to try creating

one of these pallets.  They make great inspiration

to keep on your desk, or hang on a wall, or they

make great gifts for family and friends.
