Basketball Wood Pallet Shape
Medium DIY Rectangle Pallet -- Farmhouse Style

Gather double sided circle pallet

Hi friends!! Haven't you just loved all the new releases from Clear Scraps being shown this month? I turned the new 8" medium circle pallet into a double-sided sign that I can decorate with around Thanksgiving, and keep up through Christmas.

Here's the front

and flip

To start, I adhered pattern paper to the wood word, gather.

Set it aside to dry.

Grab your Merry & Christmas chipboard word titles and paint in red using acrylic or chalkboard paint. Set aside to dry.

Paint or stain the front of your circle. I stained mine because I love seeing the wood grain. Once dry, I used distress oxide ink around the edges to make it pop.

Grab a piece of pattern paper you want for the backside, turn it over, and trace the medium circle pallet with a pencil. Cut around the traced circle and set aside.

Flip over to the backside of the pallet, and staple some twine to the spine.

Next, I placed foam tape on the back of the circle. I had to make sure the pattern paper had something to adhere to, so I ended up doubling up the foam tape.

Do this all over the backside of the circle. Peel away the foam tape backing, and apply a strong liquid adhesive.

Adhere to your pattern paper. Then, adhere your snowflakes. I found mine in the dollar section at Michaels.

Time to finish up the front. I knew cutting out the pattern paper from the wood title, gather, would be a little tricky. I found this next tip essential in not tearing the pattern paper while removing the paper from the inside of the letters.

On the backside of the paper, use your craft knife to cut along the edge of the wood. In most cases, this only scored the paper, and would not successfully cut the curves and corners of the letters. I then flipped it over

and could see where I needed to finish the cut without tearing the paper. Just use your knife to trace the line as you see below.

Repeat this process, removing all the inside letter pieces before moving onto the outside edge.

Once done, center the word and adhere to the front of the pallet. Then, decorate!
