Hi everyone!! Laura here with you today, sharing a Christmas home decor project
created with one of the many shapes of the Clear Scraps Wood Pallets, and lots
of other chipboard goodies too!
This project started with the bare Clear Scraps Circle DIY Pallet Shape.
I just wanted to give it a whitewashed look, so I brushed
the pallet with white distress paint. I love the way
the grain of the wood still shows thru the paint just a bit.
Once that was done, next up was to start painting the ornaments.
These are a combo of the Clear Scraps X-mas Swirl
Bulbs Chipboard Embellishments, which are
painted and then coated with some sparkly
glitter glue, and also the Mini Pallet Shapes.
There are sooooo many different shapes
to choose from, make sure to check them all out!
I chose the Round Bulb, and the Long Bulb
shapes, painted them, then added a little paper
border strip trims and decorative chipboard.
To add the border strips easily, first cut a strip a bit long,
then trim around the curve of the ornament to fit perfectly.
The holly and word Christmas is also from Clear Scraps,
The Christmas Chipboard Word Title, and the Holly
Chipboard Embellishment are painted and I added a little
of the glitter glue to the holly too for a bit of holiday sparkle.
To finish up the project, I needed to line up the
twine along the top so it would be hidden.
First, I glued it to the back of each ornament,
Then glued them on where I wanted them, and trimmed
the twine down, so it was even and at the right length to be
hidden by the border strip at the top of the pallet.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Make sure to stop back soon for more inspiration!
