JOY home decor
November 23, 2018
Good morning, friends. Leah here with you today to share this super cute Large expression vertical JOY sign.
As you can see, you can overlap the paper pieces on here easily, and I'll show you how.
Grab a piece of pattern paper and a pen/pencil to trace around the image.
As you can see below, there are some parts of the snowman I was unable to get a proper trace of.
Just do your best and fill in the line.
It's not perfect but will work perfectly to cover our snowman. :)
Use your scissors to cut JUST inside the line you traced.
As I cut out each piece, I arrange them in the order I think I want them to be when its time to adhere them in place.
Since I know I want the snowman to overlap the Y, I peel up the backside protective film to expose the Y.
I then add Beacons 3-in-1 glue and adhere it to the pattern paper.
Then using a craft knife, trim the excess paper around the Y.
So here are all the pieces cut ready to be glued down.
Peel the protective film away from the front and adhere the J down.
And next, the snowman's body, since I want the snowman on top of the J and Y.
Lastly, the hat.
Peel the rest of the protective film from the back, and now the fun part, embellishing!
I hot glued some red thread to the back of the J so it has something to hang from.
A little ribbon and poinsettia adorn the snowman's hat, as well as a small jingle bell for her scarf.
