Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm back again to share another project this week! If you are anything like me, your pets are a huge part of your family. Our pug, Max, is no exception. Truth be told, he's always been the most spoiled in our house. Then again Max was a rescue and definitely needed to be shown what a real family was like. I created a book with some of my favorite photos of him using the 6x6 Acrylic Tab Album. I wanted the Bone Mini Shaker to the be focal point of my front cover so I used a minimal amount of patterned paper.
I have a short video tutorial on how to assemble your Mini Shaker Shapes!
I tend to leave my acrylic "bare" because I love the clean look of it. However you can color your acrylic with alcohol ink or paint. Any medium that is solvent based should work!
Creating pockets or hidden pages in my album is a good way to utilize space and add additional photos or journaling. Here, I cut my paper approximately 5x10 inches scoring in the center to create a fold.
This allowed me to place two photos on a page as well as a cute 3x4 journaling card.
I will also use envelopes or bags to add in extra pages as well. Here, I have a kraft treat bag that I folded at the top and secured with adhesive. I added the button and bakers twine for show and then decorated the front.
One the back, I adhered a 4x4 photo and some lettering (which got accidentally cut off by my hole punch). To explain, it is supposed to say "pug loaf" because they often look like loaves of bread when they lie this way. LOL
For this page, I did essentially the same thing by scoring my paper but instead had it "flip up". I used my circle punch to create a little tab that I secured with a staple at the bottom corner.
And here is the inside of my page...just another photo with a little journaling.
Many times too I will cut something out on my Silhouette that I can use as a page. Here, I cut a Library Pocket and added my own tag which I jotted some journaling on about Max's life.
On the back, I added another 4x4 photo and added stickers from the collection I used.
