Mini Shaker Mushroom Card

Hello, Clear Scraps friends!
Leah here with you today sharing this super adorable mini shaker Mushroom that I decorated and placed onto a card.

MushroomShaker_LeahCrowe

The mushroom is a shaker and I placed wood veneer acorns and a heart inside so they will move freely around inside.

Once I decorated the shaker, I placed it on an A2 size cardstock card.

Here's a close up of the mini shaker mushroom.

Mouse Wood Card Autograph Book

Hello! Jennifer on the blog today to share one of the new releases from Clear Scraps! Two new designs of Wood Cards were revealed last month including the Mouse Wood Card! I  created a mini autograph book by adding 12x12 Acrylic Sheets that I  cut down to fit inside my album.  The Wood Cards have so many possible uses from mini albums to gift card holders!

I  painted both wood pieces with black acrylic paint first.  I  felt that black would help the colors in the patterned papers "pop".  I  cut my papers on the front piece so that the cut out design would not be covered.

Here is one of the acrylic pages which I  partially covered with patterned paper. I  also used smooth white cardstock for the autograph portion in the center. A photo can easily be inserted instead.

For my mini books, I  love adding in extra pages such as envelopes or pockets. Using a bone folder and score pad, I    folded my patterned paper to fit my album then inserted tags that coordinated with the collection I  used.  I  then adhered embellishments to the outside of my pocket as well as added bakers twine.

Another way to add space to your album is to cut larger lengths of paper and score so that they fold inward.  You can either place a photo or journaling on the outside portion if you are short on space.

Showing the inside of the page where I  added a space for a photo/autograph, as well as added embellishments. Cutting smaller pages or utilizing the 3x4 cut a part cards from a collection are also ways to add pages to your albums!

Lastly, you can use a tool such as a Crop-o-dile or hole punch to place holes in your album.  I  tied my album together with chrome book rings but you can use ribbon, jute, or bakers twine!

  1. Notebook (from office supply store) 5" X 8" ~ have them cut  down the middle.  I usually buy the pack, that will give you 8 notepads.
  2. Cut the pattern paper 3" wide X 10" long.
  3. Fold the pattern paper over the top of the notepad, about 1 1/4".
  4. Add a decorative edge with a border punch or steel die.
  5. Adhere the notepad to pattern paper

The acrylic flower is colored with alcohol inks.  The mirror dragonfly is colored with alcohol inks.  The chipboard lizard is colored with embossing powder.  All embellishments are glued to the top of the notepads with Beacon 3-IN-1 all purpose glue.
