Anchor wood album

Hi, Clear Scraps friends! Leah here with you today and I am sharing this amazing new Anchor Wood Album!

AnchorWood_LeahCrowe

I painted the wood with Gesso and while the paint was still wet I laid a paper towel down to add texture to the paint. It creates a nice effect on the album. For the cover, I painted the Helm & Anchor chipboard embellishment and adhered it onto a fussy cut piece of paper.

The anchor is laser cut into the wood, which I placed a pattern paper behind it to add some color to the page.

The album comes with 6 drilled holes for assembly, but I placed pattern paper to cover up the middle 4 holes as I didn't want to use them for this album.

I took two 12x12 acrylic sheets and cut them down to 6 1/4 x 7 1/2 and added two pages to this album. On this first page, I placed the anchor from the helm & anchor chipboard embellishment. The acrylic is so crystal clear, you can see everything that isn't covered.

We turn the page and now you see the second acrylic page, which I have painted the Friends chipboard word title to add to the page.

I turn the page to the back cover of the album which I've decorated with more pattern paper and washi tape. Cute, right?

I bound the album with two book rings, then tied on 3 pieces of twine on each ring.
Which is your favorite new Wood Album?

Acrylic Shaker Birthday Card by Pinky

Hey there Clear Scraps friends, in lieu of yesterday's live video on Facebook, I decided to create a full on "Fancy" Acrylic Card using scraps just like shown on the video but adding the Shakers to the mix!

It's Pinky today and I have a photo tutorial for those who want to follow along set by step.

So I added a sheet of acrylic INSIDE the Mini Shaker WINDOW, and made sure to take photos, so its easy to understand. First cover both sides of the base chipboard of the Mini Shaker WINDOW with patterned paper.

Then trim a sheet of 12X12 Clear Scraps acrylic to 4x5X6.5" (whatever works of the shaker size leaving a 1" lip above shaker on the acrylic). Remove protective  film from one side.

Using your Beacon Adhesive, adhere the second layer of the Mini Shaker WINDOW to the FACE of the card. Then on the BACK of the acrylic, remove protective film, and use Zip Dry following what you see through the acrylic of the Mini Shaker WINDOW second layer.

Now place the base underneath the acrylic, so it has a shaker piece on both sides.

Add the third layer of chipboard to the FACE of the card, then add sequins and or glitter, or as I did BOTH!

Now remove protective film from the Mini Shaker WINDOW, adhere to the top, then remove the top protective film and set to dry.

Take the top chipboard layer from the Mini Shaker WINDOW and coat in glitter, paint, or whatever makes you happy!

Use Zip Dry on the underside.

Place on top of the acrylic on the Mini Shaker WINDOW.

Punch edge of your paper that is trimmer 1" longer then the acrylic, and adhere onto the front of the acrylic. Now add embellishments.

Add a birthday quote and you are good to go!
