Journey Geo Pattern Wood Accordion Shaker Album
August 20, 2018
Hello friends! It's Jennifer back on the blog today to share one of the Wood Accordion Shaker Albums I created this month! These albums are so fun to work with and you have 9 to choose from (including the NEW Pumpkin shape released this month!). For my project, I used the Geo Pattern Wood Accordion Shaker Album which can be used for just about any theme!
I wanted to document a recent family trip to Michigan so I used the Journey Chipboard Word Title on the front of my album. I simply painted my chipboard with white chalk paint and added die cuts and stickers from the collection I used.
One of the great things about the shaker albums all the different items you can place inside the shaker space! Here, I used mini heart and star shaped sequins to place inside each hexagon. I did not add a lot as I wanted the sequins to be an accent and not a focal point.
I did a short tutorial video on putting together the shaker portion of your album!
I covered each page with patterned paper using my sanding tool to get rid of any excess edges. I found using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive worked best in affixing my papers as well as embellishments.
Each page is large enough to fit a 4x4 to 3x5 photo. I will usually trim my photos down as I prefer to mat them onto cardstock as well as layer additional patterned papers underneath.
I used pink and white bakers twine to tie my pages together. However you can use chrome book rings, ribbon, or jute string...really anything you prefer! Also, the albums can be configured into a mini book format if you do not prefer accordion.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today! Check out the Wood Accordion Shaker Albums plus additional Clear Scraps new releases by visiting the shop! Have a wonderful day!
