Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm sharing a fun summer project I created using the Large Deco Landscape Clipboard! Summer is winding down here (school starts in less than 2 weeks!) so we are squeezing in as much summer fun as we can!
I usually like to leave my acrylic clear because I love the way it looks. However you can color the acrylic with alcohol ink or one of my favorites: spray paint! Amazingly, it dries fairly fast and adheres great to the acrylic!
After removing the protective film from the back side of the clipboard, I used a light yellow chalk spray paint to cover the back surface. I will do two coats to ensure good coverage; sometimes three if I'm using a lighter color.
After making sure the back was completely dry, I flipped over my clipboard and removed the second protective film from the front. I then used painters tape and newspaper to cover the right half of the front, as well as the metal clip. I secured my 12 Inch Spiral Mascil with painters tape to the uncovered side. I then generously sprayed the front with Gold Foil Spray Paint. My goal was to create a sunburst effect and I love how it turned out!
Once dry, I was ready to add my papers and embellishments! I used a sun and cloud die cut that I "popped up" with foam tape just over where the rays of the Mascil meet.
I love to layer my embellishments especially small ones such as die cuts or stickers. Creating little clusters at the corner of my photos is a fun way to accent my project!
More cluster of embellishments! You can also see the yellow paint showing through; it almost looks gold in the photo!
Thank you for stopping by the blog today! Check out the large variety and shapes and sizes of clipboards as well as the many Mascils in the Clear Scraps shop! Have a great day!
