My daughter loves looking at my scrapbook projects, and she frequently asks to display them in her room. I decided to alter a clipboard as a gift for her, and I thought it would be fun to share a tutorial so you can replicate it at home.
I started with the Large Deco Portrait Clipboard, then I layered an 11 x 8.5 piece of kraft paper, a 10 x 7.5 piece of patterned paper, and a 9 x 6.5 piece of cardstock to form the base of my design.
After that, I cut a piece of cream cardstock to 8.25 x 1.5 inches and adhered it to the bottom of the project. I layered a red polka dot patterned paper which was 6 x 1 inches on top of that. I added a border sticker and some ribbon to finish it off.
I continued working and added another red polka dot strip to the right upper corner. That strip measures 5.25 x .75 inches. I adhered more ribbon and a few embellishments including some cork arrows.
I sprinkled some gold mist, and topped that off with the fabulous Clear Scraps Glamour Sequins that I adore. I also tied some cute decorative ribbon to the handle of the clipboard.
Here are some close-ups of the final project. Jordan can't wait until this goes up on her wall.
Other Supplies: Studio Calico Cork Arrows, Bazzill Cardstock, Basic Grey's RSVP Paper and Embellishments. Thank you so much for stopping by!
