Tag with the Arrow Heart Chipboard Embellishment

Hello, its Jennifer on the blog today to share my tag for this month! Love is the theme for February and so is my Chipboard Tag!  I  also included the new Arrow Heart Chipboard Embellishment to be the highlight of my tag! And I'm going to show an easy way to add some sparkle to your Clear Scraps Chipboard!

The first thing I  did was use my Beacon 3-in-1 Craft Adhesive and adhered my patterned paper to the front of my Chipboard Tag. Once dry, I  trimmed the excess paper with scissors and a sanding tool.

Clear_Scraps_February_tag

I  set aside my tag to color my Arrow Heart Chipboard Embellishment. I  always like to start with acrylic paint to cover the chipboard. Today,  I  used a Cardinal Red.  You will have to apply at least two coats to get good coverage.

If you love the way your chipboard looks with paint, feel free to stop. But for those of you that want a little bling (like me), here is an easy way to add some sparkle! I  used my embossing ink dauber covering the entire front surface of the chipboard.  Then, I  sprinkled a good amount of glitter red embossing powder over the top.  Remove excess powder and you are ready to set with your heat gun!

Once dry, attach to the front of your tag! I  layered more patterned papers and some die cuts underneath my Arrow Heart Chipboard Embellishment.  Using a pop dot, I  adhered a cute ampersand to the right center of the heart.  What can I  say...I    love layers!  My finishing touch is adding a ribbon to the top of the tag!

Present Accordian Shaker Album~

Hi, Connie here with a very cool new product from Clear Scraps.  The small shakers were such a hit Clear Scraps  brought out Accordion Shaker Albums.  These are so fun and so beautiful when all dolled up!  They go together just like the small shakers but have pages for photos and memorbilia.

Clear Scraps_Accordian Shaker Album1_C. Mercer

This shaker album is called Present.  It is sectioned off so sequins and small embellishments can be added to each section.   If I had had some fake snow I would have added it in the bottom section.  I think it would have looked so pretty~next time for sure !!!

Clear Scraps_Accordian shaker album2_C.Mercer

Each album come with 3 extra pages and did I tell you this product is WOOD.   Yes WOOD!!!!!!  Easy to paint and still cover with decorative paper.  That is what makes it look so amazing standing up and folded like an accordion.

Clear Scraps_AccordianShaker Album3_C. Mercer

I used 4" X 6" vertical photos in the album and they really showcased well.  So gorgeous if it is standing up or laying on a table.  I used heavy jute to tie the album together.  I created ths one to open like an album but they can be put together to stand up (like an accordion fold.)

I had 4 photos to use, to tell my story, but there is space for another photo.  I will journal the story ,of the photos, on the blank page.

Whiskey Barrel Man cave sign

Hello, my crafting friends, Leah here with you today to share the brand new DIY Whiskey Barrel pallet shape!

Whiskey6_LeahCrowe

Whiskey_LeahCrowe

The pallets go together very easily, just adhere with wood glue, mounting wood shape to the mounting sticks. Adhere top and bottom pieces first flush and then middle pieces. Give the equal amount of space in between each to give it that pallet look.

Whiskey2_LeahCrowe

Before I stained I sanded lightly using 220 grit sandpaper then wiped with a cloth to remove dust particles. I then painted on the Minwax stain, let it sit a few minutes, and wiped off with another cloth.  I let it dry for about 3 hours then applied lacquer to seal stain. The wood grain of this wood is amazing!

Whiskey4_LeahCrowe

I knew my husband would love an entrance to his new man cave in the garage, he's currently in the process of setting it up now. So I used a my cameo silhouette to cut out this stencil, which I applied to the whiskey palette. I painted on the stencil very lightly. I should have painted twice because of the purple (hubs favorite color) and because of the stain color is so dark.

Whiskey5_LeahCrowe

I showed hubs, and well, he liked it.. so I was good. :) Be careful removing your vinyl stencils if you use one, and pull it off away from the grain of the wood to prevent splintering.

Whiskey6_LeahCrowe

Once its hung on his door, its going to look great! I painted the brand new chipboard hammer & screwdriver tools set and adhered them to the sign as well. Here's a close up of the tools that I painted with Chalk Paint.

There you have it. Which of the new wood palette shapes is your favorite?
