Mixable Mini Album with Debbie

Hi Friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a fun album that I made with on of Clear Scraps Mixable albums.

This album is so fun and can be used to make elegant albums for gifts or your coffee table!

The album consists of a mixture of Chipboard pieces and Acrylic pieces.

This is what it looks like from the front all closed up.

I didn't do a step by step for this one as it has a ton of embellishments and layers but these albums are made to

decorate any way you desire.

I also used a Clear Scraps Script Word Title for the front of the album, I chose the word Friends. I added some gold leafing to the chipboard .

This album will sit on a table in my great room so I can share it with family and friends!

Butterfly shaker clip~

Hi, Connie here with a fun project using the Butterfly Shaker by Clear Scraps.  My inspiration was using the shaker images in a different way that could double as a teacher's gift.  I came up with a clip, for all those papers they grade. Take a look~

Clear scraps_butterfly shaker1_c.mercer

The Clear Scraps store has over 25 shapes of shakers.  Rumor has it, more are on the way:)  I constructed the shaker with pattern paper on the inside and pattern paper on the outside frame.  I used Beacon 3-IN-1 to adhere the shaker together.

Clear scraps_butterfly shaker2_c.mercer

The inside has Glamour sequins by Clear Scraps.  They matched beautifully.  I was prepared to use the entire bag of sequins, but a little goes along way.  Once the sequins are put in the shaker the frame was adhered and then let it rest.  For about 30 minutes.  I had a few sequins stick to the side.  The object is to have them in the middle so they shake around.

Clear scraps_butterfly shaker3_sequins-c.mercer

The side was embellished with buttons and flowers.  Beacon Quick Grip worked great, to adhere the embellishments to the front of the shaker.

Clear scraps_butterfly shaker4_c.mercer

Last adhere a cloths pin to the back of the  Butterfly shaker and then adhere a strong magnet to back of the cloths pin.  Great for refrigerator art !!!

Supply list:

Clear Scraps: Butterfly Shaker

Clear Scraps: Sequins/Glamour

Other:

Beacon: Quick Grip and 1-IN-3 all purpose, pattern paper, embellishments.

Journal Page Tutorial with Debbie

Hello Clear Scraps Friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a journal page I recently made using Clear Scraps Stencils.

I'm feeling the Fall air here in the Rocky Mountains and one of my favorite things about Fall is the colors and Dragonflies!

I incorporated them into my page using Clear Scraps Lace Doily Border6" Dragonfly wallpaper,  6"Doily Mat,  6"Doily

IMG_4144

IMG_4144

Lay your stencil on the edge of your journal and using the color of choice spray generously. Be sure to have plent of dry paper towels to soak up any extra.

IMG_4144

IMG_4144

Instead of wasting my beloved sprays, I simply flipped it over and pressed it into  the opposite page.

IMG_4144

Continue as your hear desires using different colors and stencils, using the same techniques as above,

until your pages are covered and you have the patterns you like.

IMG_4144

Here is what I ended up with.

IMG_4144

To finish up, I laid the stencils on my pages and used black ink and a make up sponge and rubbed over the stencils.

I added some stamping and traced over the dragonflies with a white pen. To finish it up I added some adhesive gens and sequins.

Hope you enjoyed my journal page and hope you will give it a try.

As always thanks for stopping by the Clear Scraps blog today!!

Home Decor with Debbie

Hello Clear Scraps friends!  Today I'm sharing a fun home decor projects using a  3x12 Border Stencil with the word Memories on it.

I purchased a wooden wall hanging in the clearance aisle at the hobby store with the sole intentions of altering it to fit my decor.

The farmhouse look is such a fun style and one that can fit into any decor. So here's what I did with this fun wall hanging.

I gave this as a gift to our daughter so she could always see the day of her wedding.

20525865_10209887657563592_1680936783375833923_n (1)

To get started on this I simply took acrylic paint in colors to match my photos (also happens to be one of my favorite colors and the colors of her wedding).

Once your paint is dry, place your stencil onto the front of your wall hanging and paint over it with white acrylic paint.

The next step is to wrap some twine around your wall hanging and using a staple gun, staple it in the back to keep it in place.

Add some coordinating close pins.

To finish it up add some photos and you have a great wall hanging!

I hope you will give this fun project a try and be sure to check out all the beautiful stencils and wall decor for your home in the Clear Scraps store!

Ice Cream Shaker Card by Angel

When I first seen this cute little ice cream shaker I knew I had to make a card. Who would not love to get this refreshing card in the mail.

IceCream Card

I wanted the cone to have that waffle effect so I used some liquid pearls in chocolate and Tim Holtz distress ink to color the cone and give it the realistic look! and used the same in white frost for the top of the cone.

Ice Cream Card Closeup

Doesn't it look Yummy? I just could not stop with the card so I made a matching envelope to go with it. These can be used for birthday cards as well.

Layout with the Train Mini Shaker

Hello friends! It's Jennifer and I'm here to share a page using the cute Train Mini Shaker! These fun Shaker Shapes are great to stand by themselves or accent tags, cards, or mini albums! They also make perfect accents to your scrapbook pages!

My son has loved trains pretty much since he was a baby and I thought the Train Mini Shaker would look great for one of his pages!

Clear_Scraps_Train_Shaker_layout

I covered the front chipboard frame as well as the chip back with patterned paper. I used Beacon 3-in-1 Craft Glue to adhere my chipboard to my paper.  I then added small buttons, sequins, and wood veneer stars to my shape!  Once my train was put together, I added a small amount of acrylic paint to the outside edges.

Clear_Scraps_Train_Shaker_layout2

Before putting together my page, I used my 12 Inch Chicken Wire Mascil and yellow spray ink to color my cardstock.

Mixable Gracey Album

Happy Thursday friends.  I had another project ready to go, but silly ol' me did not photograph it in time. My sweet new pug puppies decided the album was a lovely treat. I had to whip something up to replace it, and what better thing for me to highlight than our super amazing Eclipse we had on Monday.

I used the Mixable Gracey Album, Heart layer stencil, and Wire Mixer .

MixableGracie_LeahCrowe

I used Stazon Ink and stencils on the acrylic pages, and Distress Oxide and stencils on the chipboard pages.

Once I had stenciled the album pages the way I liked, you can take a peek at what the album looks like before I start embellishing.

MizableGracie_Stencil7

Cute right? I added some paper, but mainly wanted the album to stand on its own merit. I just love it!

MixableGracie2_LeahCrowe   MixableGracie3_LeahCrowe

We took lots of photos of the eclipse and of the kids goofing off in the front yard.

MixableGracie4_LeahCrowe   MixableGracie5_LeahCrowe

I love the transparency between the pages. I printed my photos out at 2", but there is plenty of room for larger sizes.

I even added my handy dandy eclipse glasses, and if I ever need them, I know where they'll be!

Thankful with Angel

I am ready for the fall to get here so bad that I have decided to make fall decor early! I love the stencils that Clear Scraps has to offer they are so fun and easy to use.

Today I will share with you my Thankful Pumpkin Decor.

Thankful

I get most supplies at Hobby Lobby but I knew the Thankful stencil was perfect for this wooden piece.

I painted the wooden piece with a light color and then used a darker color to add the stenciled word.

Thankful Stencil tip

To do this I just used a cheap paint brush and pounced some paint on top of the stencil being careful not to add to much paint. You don't want the paint to run through the stencil.

I finished it up with some flower picks and golden leaves and topped it off with a bow.

Take a peek below for a closer view.

Thankful 2

   Thankful 3

I love Fall weather and can;t wait for it to get here. This will be perfect for my new fall decor. The stencils are fun to play with as well.

Acrylic Border layout

Hey Clear Scraps friends.

Have you checked out ALL the amazing Acrylic Border embellishments?

I've had this filmstrip in my scrapping arsenal for quite some time, I adhered it to pattern paper, and cut away portions of the strip to allow other paper to peek through.

FilmstripLO_LeahCrowe  FilmstripLO2_LeahCrowe

I then edged the acrylic with alcohol ink to make it pop a bit.

Have you checked out all the fabulous mirror embellishments?

FilmstripLO4_LeahCrowe

On this layout I simply edged the butterfly with the same alcohol ink as the border.

August Tag With Debbie

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing my August tag for Clear Scraps.

The days are getting shorter and we are actually feeling much cooler temps where I live.  More rain and cool mornings and warmer days, all signs of Fall for us.  Fall is my favorite time of year, I love the sound of rustling leaves and the sound of the Aspen's and here in the Rockies the fresh clean air. The colors are so rich and pretty, I just can't get enough.

You can actually feel the change coming.  We will still have some warm days but not hot summer days.

Hope you are all enjoying your Summer!

Seems like life is always too busy for the most important things, however this fun tag won't take you long at all. I created this tag with

Clear Scraps Chipboard Tag Album.

IMG_4130

For this Chipboard tag I adhered the paper to the  tag and embellished the tag on the front with  flowers.

I popped up all the pieces with pop dots for dimension.

To finish it off add some twine to the top.

Hope you enjoyed my August Tag and hope you're playing along with the design team on the Clear Scraps Blog and making your own pretty tags!

Be sure to stop by and check out all the beautiful tags this month by our talented designers!

As always thanks for stopping by the Clear Scraps blog today!!

Faith stencil art~

Hi, Connie here with a mixed media project using the "Faith " stencil by Clear Scraps.   Just using the supplies, I had on hand, it was fun to create this wall hanging,as a special reminder, to keep the "faith".

Clear scraps_mixed media_faith stencil_c. mercer

The background was created using a gel press and acrylic paints on a 6" X 12" piece of canvas.  After the background was good and dry. the stencil was placed over the background print and using StazOn ink the word "faith" was added.  Highlights were added, with acrylic paint, to each letter.   The canvas was attached to a stick (from the yard). Again just using what is available to me :)

Clear scraps_mixed media_faith stencil1_c.mercer

Fancy trim and lace were glued to the bottom, of the canvas, along with a cluster of buttons.   A ribbon stringer was created, for the side, and tied to the top of the stick with hemp twine.  More buttons added also.  This would also look great hanging from a door knob or vintage cloths hanger.  Clear Scraps has twelve word stencils, that would make beautiful home decor projects.

Thanks for stopping by~

Beautiful Circle Printer Tray Frame

Hello!  Jennifer here on the blog to share one of the Printer Tray Frames!  I absolutely LOVE these! I know I have many favorite Clear Scraps products but these make the top five!  I used the Circle Printer Tray Frame for today's post to scrap photos of my daughter!

Clear_Scraps_Circle_Printer_Tray

I flipped my Circle Printer Tray so that I could place my title on the right side. This is one of the many awesome features about the Printer Trays in that you can configure them to fit your photos.

Clear_Scraps_Circle_Printer_Tray2

Each Printer Tray comes with an Acrylic Divider to place below your top chipboard cut out! I love creating little pockets to add sequins, glitter, or any little embellishment! I also used my Big Bite Cropodile to punch a hole into my layers to add some colorful ribbon!

Clear_Scraps_Circle_Printer_Tray3

I used patterned paper to cover my top chipboard cut out but you can use paint or ink as well!  If you decide to use paper, I find it easiest to use Beacon Craft Glue to adhere my paper.  Once dry, I used an exacto knife and sanding tool to trim excess paper.

Clear_Scraps_Circle_Printer_Tray4

Thank you for stopping by the blog today! Be sure to check out the NEW Printer Tray Frames in the Clear Scraps Shop! Have a great day!

Additional products used: patterned paper, die cuts, letter stickers: Basic Grey; sequins: Teresa Collins Designs, Chic Tags; wooden arrow: Freckled Fawn; stamp: American Crafts; ink: Ranger; misc: Silhouette, ribbon, typewriter.

Summer Banner

Hi everyone!  Nancy here to share with you a summer banner I made with the 5 piece Banner Set from Clear Scraps.

I know, last week I was dreaming of fall with my tag, but then I began work on my banner and these beautiful papers and chipboards just were calling to me.

Banner_clear scraps_summer_nancy keslin_scallops

I love working with the acrylic banners as you can get a lot of depth just by placing some items behind the acrylic....

Banner_clear scraps_summer_nancy keslin_scallops

and others in front.
Banner_clear scraps_summer_nancy keslin_scallops

And the banners are so easy to work with, you can add as much or as few items as you like,
