Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm on the blog sharing one of the XL Clear Word Titles! Appropriately I decorated the Love Word Title for Valentines Day! There are both horizontal and vertical words to choose from; all make great home decor projects!
After removing the protective film from both sides of the word, I flipped it over and added red alcohol ink to the heart portion. Once dry, I dripped salmon pink and teal alcohol inks directly onto the red to give the heart a marbled look. I colored the acrylic on the back so that if I add any painting or stamping, it won't be affected by the alcohol.
I added one of the Dragonflies Chipboard Embellishments to the center of the heart. I started with a few layers of Distress Paint to cover the chipboard.
Once dry, I stamped the dragonfly in my VersaMark pad and applied some of my favorite glitter embossing powder! This is one of my go to techniques when coloring the Clear Scraps Chipboard Embellishments!
Here is a close up of the heart and the marbling effect with the alcohol inks! I love how it turned out! I used a hand punch for the smaller pennants as well as added die cuts and epoxy shapes from the collection. I used Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive to adhere my Dragonfly to the heart.
For the remainder of the letters, I used Beacon Adhesive to affix patterned paper to the acrylic. I used an exacto knife and sanding tool to get rid of any excess edges. To finish, I used a small ruler and journaling pen to draw some sketch lines along the edges for contrast.
Thanks for stopping by! Please check out all of the variety of Clear Word Titles in the Clear Scraps Shop! Have a great day!
