December Tag with Debbie

Hi friends!   Today I'm sharing my December tag for Clear Scraps.  December is always a really busy month

for most of us, however this fun tag won't take you long at all.   I  created this tag with Clear Scraps Acrylic Tag Album.

IMG_3450

All of the tags and patterned papers, doily etc are added to the back of the tag, the embellishments are on the front.

The doily peaks through the clear tag and is behind all the papers and small tags.

I embellished the tag by fussy cutting flowers from coordinating paper and adhereing to the front..

To finish it off add a ribbon bow to the top and some flowers.

Hope you enjoyed my December Christmas Tag and hope you're playing along with the design team on the ClearScraps Blog and making your own pretty tags!

Be sure to stop by and check out all the beautiful tags this month by our talented designers!

As always thanks for stopping by the Clear Scraps  blog today!!

Christmas Trees-Clearscraps-angel

I really had a Blast with decorating these. You can get these here at Clear Scraps!

All trees was covered with different pattern papers before decorating.

Here is a closer look .

Tree close up 1

I used some mini Christmas Bulbs and glued them right on the tree. I also used lots of ribbon and made bows and glued that as well. I was not happy yet till I added mini roses and rhinstones . I just felt I need it to be fuller..

Tree close up 2

Since this tree was the small one I added just the mini bulbs and some ribbon bows streaming down from the top. I also added some rhinestones.

3D Acrylic Christmas Trees ~

Hi, Connie here with a tutorial on how I created these 3D Acrylic  Christmas Trees by Clear Scraps. The 3D trees also come in chipboard too.  I see them with pine cones all around, sitting in snow with a couple of deer hanging around.  With that in mind that was the look I was after when creating these folk art trees.

Clear scraps_3D trees_c.mercer

Instructions:

Clear scraps_3D_tutorial_c.mercer

*Remove the plastic film from the acrylic tree pieces.  Each tree will have two tree pieces.

*Assemble the trees.  They slip into each other creating the tree.

*I used a mat dark green spray paint to add the color to the trees.

*The star was painted gold and then the trees were speckled with white acrylic paint

They look amazing to me.  Plain, cozy and comfy!!  Looking forward to decorating for the holidays with these pretties!!

December Tag by Jennifer

Today I have my tag for this month as well as a quick tutorial!  I love playing with the Clear Scraps acrylic tags and Mascils and they are a perfect accent to holiday presents!

Clear_Scraps_December_tag

Just a little bit of modeling paste or paint with some glitter goes a long way!  I used the 6 inch Ribbon Tree Mascil and applied a light layer of modeling paste to the surface of my tag.

Clear_Scraps_December_tag3

Before allowing the modeling paste to dry, I lightly sprinkled red glitter to the surface. After a few moments, I carefully lifted my Mascil from the tag. Allow ample drying time before adding any embellishments! I did back my tag with a patterned paper which is an option.

The first one is the snowman. I added fake snow and sequins in his belly and black seed beads in his hat. I also added some acetate snowflakes to add that special look. then made a bow to put by his neck! I heat flocked the outside of the snowman shape in white.

Crystal Snowflakes Holiday Card Tutorial by Pinky

Hey there friends, HAPPY SATURDAY! It's Pinky today, and I have a fun little card tutorial to share today that I created making "Crystal Snowflakes".

Clear Scraps Clear Snowflake Card by Pinky Hobbs - 3 (1)

For this card I took 3D Gloss Gel and I used the Clear Scraps 6" Holly Christmas Bulbs Mascil/Stencil on a 4X6 piece of 12X12 Clear Scraps Acrylic (after removing the front protective film of course) that I cut out using my regular paper trimmer.

Clear Scraps Clear Snowflake Card by Pinky Hobbs - 1

You can see the design is crisp and sharp. I allowed it to dry overnight, it didn't need overnight but I like to set it and forget it so to speak.

Clear Scraps Clear Snowflake Card by Pinky Hobbs - 2

After that I trimmed out another 4X6 piece of Clear Scraps Acrylic from the same 12X12 sheet, and I used some leftover scrap papers from the Creating Made Easy December 2016 Kit to place inside the back page, then I used a white shimmering sheet of card stock for the back t cover my adhesive. (Beacon is my go to for Clear Scraps acrylic).

Clear Scraps Clear Snowflake Card by Pinky Hobbs - 1 (1)

It's hard to see but I hope you can actually see the "crystal snowflakes" they are gorgeous in person.

I brushed the edges using StazOn Cotton white ink for a "snow" effect. StazOn is the perfect ink for this, and you really could brush the snowflakes with it as well for a snowy look.

Clear Scraps Clear Snowflake Card by Pinky Hobbs - 2 (1)

I used a 1" strip of paper along the top to adhere the acrylic pieces together, it was a fun and unique way to create a card, I can't wait to do this one again!

Happy crafting my friends, and have a beautiful Saturday.

Preparing for Santa

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a new mini album I made using the Mixable Lacey.

Wrap Up_mini album_clear scraps_carta bella_nancy keslin

I love making mini albums ahead of time so that after an event all I have to do is add photos.

Wrap up_mini album_clear scraps_carta bella_nancy keslin_2

This time of year gets so hectic it is so nice to know that as soon as the big day is over all I have to do is print my photos and I am good to go.

Wrap up_mini album_clear scraps_carta bella_nancy keslin_3

I added in lots of space for different photo sizes.  I love that the size of this mixable allows for photos as large as 4x6 (ok, they could probably even have some a little bigger, but 4x6 works for me.

Wrap up_mini album_clear scraps_carta bella_nancy keslin_4

Don't forget though to leave room to slip those photos in.  I often add a piece of foam tape and just leave the backing on...this way the item doesn't smoosh, and I can still slip in the photo later.

Wrap up_mini album_clear scraps_carta bella_nancy keslin_5

And for those photos that I don't have room for?  I created a little pocket on the back page.

Hope you have a great day.

Nancy

Joy Acrylic Large Word Title

Hello friends! It's Jennifer and I'm sharing a fun home decor piece I created using the Expressions Large Joy Vertical Clear Word Title!  If you haven't had a chance to play with the Word Titles, you must try! There are a variety of words to choose from!

Just in time for the winter/holiday season, I chose the "Joy" Word Title to decorate and hang in my front entry way!

Clear_Scraps_Expressions_Large_Joy

I simply selected a favorite Christmas collection and adhered patterned paper to the "J" and "Y" using my Beacon 3-in-1 Craft glue and a sander!  I also used a paint pen in white to outline my edges.

Clear_Scraps_Expressions_Large_Joy3

To accent, I adhered pieces of coordinating stickers and chipboard to the letters as well.

  Clear_Scraps_Expression_Large_Joy4

The "O" in Clear Title is a cute snowman!  For him, I got out my 6 inch Nordic Snowflakes Mascil  and some metallic texture paste!

December Tag Of The Month by Pinky

Hey there Clear Scraps friends, it's Pinky today and I am excited to share my December Tag which is the Tag of the Month. I had so much fun making the "Snowy Door" Tag using the Tag Album & Tag Box set.

Clear Scraps December Tag-Pinky Hobbs

I loved using the 6" Holly Christmas Bulbs stencil/mascil for the back of the tag- with metallic paints, then turning it over and adding the snowy effect with a clear medium and glitter and also using the Fancy Window Chipboard Embellishment as the "door". Christmas and snow always get me in the mood to create and craft outside of my usual crafting, I think it's my favorite time of year to craft with all the snowy scenes. So many ways to create snow-scales.

I have created a full instructions PDF sheet you can download right below:

Download December Snowy Door Tag by Pinky

It shares step by step  how I created this Tag and how you can create your own. I loved leaving it clear so you can see through, that is definitely my favorite part of working with acrylics!

Have you tried creating any of the monthly tags? How did yours turn out? Share them on the Clear Scraps Facebook Page!

Happy crafting my friends. Enjoy your Christmas crafts and all the holidays spirits.

The mini shaker is so easy to assemble and decorate.  What you put inside the shaker is the fun part.  Really, it is all up to you  what to fill the inside with.  I used decorative sequins in the Mini Shaker Bell.
