Hello friends! Thanksgiving here in the USA is fast approaching! Today, I'm happy to share my tag for November along with my techniques! I love this time of year not only because of the beautiful colors outside, but also I get to use warm colors to create with!
First off, I started with three colors of alcohol ink that are similar tones.
Starting at the bottom of my tag, I began layering the colors using the darkest first. I usually just add a few drops of the ink to the acrylic and then use a blending tool to thin it out. Don't be afraid to allow the colors to "run" into each other...it does not have to be perfect! :)
After allowing the alcohol ink to dry, I flipped over my tag to add some texture paste with a fun Mascil. Here, I used the 12x12 Twigs Leaves Mascil and applied a light coat of the texture paste.
Once the paste dries, you will get almost a golden shimmer image shining through your acrylic! My first intention was to have the texture paste facing up, but I was pleasantly surprised on the result!
Lastly, I added patterned paper, as well as coordinating stickers and die cuts from my Silhouette. I used a few foam dots to pop up my sticker title and add some depth.
Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to visit the blog for more techniques and inspiration from the design team! Have a wonderful day!
