Mix It Up Mini!

Angel here to share with you a cute recipe book! I just Love this little mini!

Mix it Up Mini-Clear Scraps -Angel Lebouef

To get stared you will need to purchase the Acrylic Recipe Stand 4"x6" Kit from the Clear Scraps shop!

I thought this mini would be just perfect to add those favorite family Recipes that everyone shared for Thanksgiving Holidays.

So with that in mind I made one page a photo page and the other a recipe card. Such a cool way to keep those recipes at hand.

Mix it Up -Clear Scraps -Angel Lebouef 9

First I cut all the pattern paper to fit the pages and cover of the book.. I then inked all the edges with distress ink.

I have added doilies to the photo page as a photo placement. (I just think doilies are perfect for a recipe book)

Then once that part is done I embellished the photo pages only with the stickers, candy dots, and ribbon trim along with some flowers.

Thankful Feather Mixer Layout

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a fun layout I created using the Feather Mixer!  Ever since their release, I've been drawn to the Mixers as they have a dual purpose:  stencil AND embellishment!  Plus, they are fun and easy to use!  I'm going to show you how I created my page!

Clear_Scraps_Feather_Mixer_layout

First, I began with a piece of white cardstock as my background and chose three coordinating colors of spray inks.  I want to note that I used the Feather Mixer as a stencil WITH the protective film...just be sure to have some  paper towels handy!  This way you can wipe off the Mixer in between colors! Next, I placed the Mixer on my page in different positions and lightly misted with each ink.  Again, you will want to wipe off your Mixer in between colors.

Clear_Scraps_Feather_Mixer_layout6

While allowing my background to dry, I moved on to coloring the Mixer itself. First remove the protective film from both sides and lay onto a protective mat or paper towel.  I chose three different colors of alcohol ink along with the gold mixative to give it some shine.

Clear_Scraps_Feather_Mixer_layout7

One of my favorite things to do is to simply add drops of alcohol ink directly onto the acrylic! This allows the colors to spread and you can experiment with how you want your acrylic to turn out!

Clear_Scraps_Feather_Mixer_layout8

Here is the finished result!  Once dry I added my Mixer to the side of my photo along with other die cuts and stickers.

Clear_Scraps_Feather_Mixer_layout4

I used my Silhouette to cut my title using some dark brown cardstock.

Here, you can see a close up of one of the negative images created with the Mixer!

Hi, Connie here with my November tag and a Fall card, created with the 6" Pine Cone stencil, by Clear Scraps.  I put pine cones in the same category as sea shells, I love creating with them and I love them just hanging around.

fun frame album.  Below are close-ups and details. If you have any questions please feel free to respond below and I will

Gather Memories November Tag

Have you created with these Clear Scrap tags yet? I look forward to seeing all the tags each month.

NovemberTag_LeahCrowe

This tag came together fairly quickly.
I adhered my pattern paper to the backside, as I typically like to do. I think it adds so much dimension.
I then colored on the acrylic with gelatos, and also on the other ephemera tags and started layering.

NovemberTag2_LeahCrowe

I'm pretty sure you will see this tag again on a future layout or album!
Don't you just LOVE the mirror embellishments? Swoon. The feathers are my favorite.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and see you soon!

Clear Scraps Ornaments by Pinky Hobbs Sharpie Paint Pen - 1

For this one I painted one side in metallic gold and on the edges I used the Sharpie paint pen.

On the other side I used Christmas Patterned Paper (Carta Bella) and added a pretty ribbon.

Clear Scraps Ornaments by Pinky Hobbs Sharpie Paint Pen - 3

For this one I used silver paper to punch out stars, and I trimmed the ornament with the Sharpie Paint Pen then used modeling paste for a snow globe effect on the bottom coated in snowy white glitter.

You can see on each ornament I painted the top silver in the Sharpie paint pen to add dimension.

I then took the chipboard pieces and Embossed them using several colors to get the look I was wanting to achieve for the Cattails.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi everyone, I can't believe that Thanksgiving is already upon us.  Just a few more days until the big day here in the US.  Today I  wanted to make a quick post featuring the Mini Rectangle Scallop Clipboard.

Give thanks_clear scraps_clipboard_nancy keslin

This project was super simple to complete.  I simply cut a free file I found on the Internet from vinyl, and attached a few flowers from my stash.  I love the simplicity of it and know it will make a lovely addition to my Thanksgiving Decor.

Clear Scraps Windmill Layout with Debbie

Hi Friends!  Many of you don't know this about me but I live in big beautiful Wyoming where there are many everyday things

that happen that city people might consider unusual.  For instance this cattle drive right up the frontage road next to the interstate.

Sounds dangerous and it is but we have lots of trained cowboys who manage to do this without any mishaps.  They are fun to watch

and fun to live around!  You can see horses being ridden down your street at any given time so needless to say it's cowboy country!

Today I'm sharing a layout of that very happening.

IMG_3376

To make this layout I began building the base or background. I did that by tearing strips and adhering them to the

left edge of my base. I used a Clears Scraps Stencil for some added texture to the background.

The stencil I used is the 6" Damask. For even more texture I added copper embossing powder to the modeling paste

Next adhere your photos and your photo mats.

In the corner I added a Clear Scraps Windmill Chipboard Embellishment.

To embellish the windmill I inked it with  brown chalk ink and then embossed it with

copper embossing powder.  I used the frame for the photo and used the same technique for the frame

around the photo.

IMG_3373

To finish your layout add a little chicken wire stamping and flowers.  This layout is fun and uses several

easy techniques.

Thanks for stopping by the Clear Scraps Blog today and be sure to stop by and check out the inspiring

projects by our design team!!

November Tag with Debbie

Hi friends!  Debbie with you today sharing my November tag.  November is one of my favorite months

and one of my favorite flowers is the Sunflower. It's a time for family and for being grateful for the many

blessings life has given you.  I  created this tag by covering one of the tags from the Chipboard Tag Album with patterned paper

and then adding layers to it giving it lots of dimension.

IMG_3360

I embellished the tag by fussy cutting flowers from coordinating paper and then stamping my sentiment on a die cut tag.

Embellish with coordinating flowers and chipboard embellishments from the paper pack.

To finish it off add a ribbon bow to the top.

IMG_3338

Hope you enjoyed my shimmery Fall Tag and hope you're playing along with the design team to make your

own pretty tags!

Be sure to stop by and check out the beautiful tags this month!

Autumn Layout with Acrylic Embellishment

You_&_Me_Layout_Irene_Tan_01

Hello everyone! It's Irene here and today, I'm sharing with you all an Autumn layout featuring some acrylic embellishment by Clear Scraps. I've used some acrylic banner embellishment and a "Love" acrylic expression by Clear Scraps on this layout. Besides these pieces, I've also used Clear Scraps damask stencil to create the textured background for this layout.

You_&_Me_Layout_Irene_Tan_04

I've embossed the acrylic expression and later colored it with some markers. As for the acrylic banner, I've added some pattern papers to them.

You_&_Me_Layout_Irene_Tan_02

Hope to see you all soon!
