Blessed Layout

I have many blessings in my life but one of them involves my adorable little niece Addy. So today I did a layout showcasing her.

Clear Scraps Supplies- Blessed Chipboard Words

                                        6x6 Damask Mask/Stencil

I started out using a sheet of pattern paper form the Pink Paislee Harvest Hayride Collection. Sprayed the area I wanted with the color wash spray.  I then used the 6x6 stencil Damask along with textured paste. Once dried I then used distress ink in Fired Brick in the places you see in the photo. Using other colored inks I then added some stamping using a back ground stamp collection.

I also cut out the branches off one sheet of the pattern paper and popped them up on pop dots. I then added blossoms and fabric flowers to complete the look I was going for. I used a branch die and added more branches coming from the flowers to make a cluster.

Clear Scraps Layout-Angel Rodrigue 2

I also added a flourish and some rhinestones in different places.

I took the chipboard piece and did some heat embossing using distress embossing powder called fired brick.

Layout with Bat Chipboard Shape Embellishments

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today! Halloween is a little over a month away and I couldn't wait to share one of the newest Halloween embellishments: the Bat Chipboard Shape Embellishments! You receive three cute little bats to a package and they are perfect to embellish for your Halloween projects! I decided to include two of them on layout since they are great accents!

Clear_Scraps_Chipboard_Bats_layout

I started with a white card stock background because I wanted the colors of my collection as well as the black bats to stand out.  I used my 12 inch Chicken Wire Mascil (a favorite) with yellow and black spray inks.  Using Mascils is an easy and fun way to add depth to your pages!  Don't be afraid to play around with your inks (or other fun mediums like gesso or paint)!

Clear_Scraps_Chipboard_Bats_layout10

While allowing my card stock to dry, I embellished one of my bats using heat embossing a favorite background stamp!  I did paint both bats prior with black acrylic paint! I stamped my chipboard with clear embossing ink by Ranger.

Clear_Scraps_Chipboard_Bats_layout2

Next, I applied an ample amount of clear embossing powder to the surface of my chipboard.

Clear_Scraps_Chipboard_Bats_layout3

After removing the excess powder, I applied heat until the powder was set. You will notice powder will turn from opaque to clear.

Clear_Scraps_Chipboard_Bats_layout5

Here is my end result...I do love using clear embossing powder because of the way it looks. How fun would it be to use glitter embossing powder on one of these cuties?

Clear_Scraps_Chipboard_Bats_layout6

I did add two small orange enamel dots because I thought he needed some big eyes! :)

Clear_Scraps_Chipboard_Bats_layout8

My title is cut from black card stock and a cut file from the Silhouette shop!

Snowflake Sled Box by Pinky!

Hey there friends, it's Pinky today and I am just a wee bit excited about this cool new project from the new release in the Clear Scraps products. It is the new Clear Sled Box which is a sturdy acrylic box that you can decorate.

Here it is before I started.

1

Here is it AFTER!

Clear Scraps Snowflake Sled by Pinky Hobbs1

What I did was file the entire box with a nail file to create a frosted look.

After that I used the 6" Holly Christmas Bulb Mascil/Stencil and some modeling paste to create the snowflakes.

1

I also put modeling paste on the edges on top to look like snow. Then I sprinkled it while wet with glitter.

After everything I was dried I painted the sled runners with metallic gold paint and added some gold dots to the sled itself, then assembled the sled and used the strong clear stickers to hold it altogether.

I cannot wait to use it this winter for candies and treats. Check out the amazing fun products that all tie together.

You can buy the Clear Scraps Sled Box Here:

I hope you enjoyed my project today, it might not be Christmas yet, but I will be ready!

Clear Box for Keepsakes

Hello friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a fun project made with  a Clear Scraps Clear Box.

IMG_3251

IMG_3250

The box is very easy to assemble you can just follow the directions on the package.

Before I assembled the box I embossed all the edges in a gold glittery embossing powder

Next I simply covered with one of my favorite patterned papers.  I distressed and inked all the edges before

adhering to the box.

Tie a coordinating ribbon around the box.

To decorate my boy I diecut some paper flowers and leaves and embossed them to match the box.

Adhere them and finish your box off by adding seed beads to the flowers using Gel Medium.

Cell Phone Stand

Hi Friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a fun and simple project.  This project can be completed under an hour depending on how elaborate you want to decorate it.

Everyone needs a place to charge their cell phones and what a great gift this little stand makes!  It gets your phone up and out of the way and has a place to run your charger cord through so it doesn't get accidentally knocked  over.

These Phone Stands come in 3 different styles and can be made as masculine or feminine as you want to make them.  Also available are Tablet Stands so be sure to check those out too!

Acrylic can be Stamped, Painted, Embossed,Papered or Embellished.

IMG_3244

To make this stand you simply remove the film from both sides of the Acrylic pieces.

For this stand I chose to add a masculine background whtih some fussy cut balloons and words.

I adhered everything to the back of the acrylic with clear glue dots. Here is a close up of the stand that

you set your phone on and the cut out for the cord.

September Stenciled Tag by Pinky!

Hey there friends it is Pinky again today with this TAG project that taught me a lot!
I tried using this copper crackle paste on  it, but it kept flaking off, I was using the Clear Scraps
But I had to find a way to keep the paste from flaking, so finally
I "frosted" the tag by using a file to scratch the surface. After I did that the
paste stayed on but I was sure to seal it with a clear acrylic spray.
glittered and added them for more texture.
Both the Mascil/Stencil were in the September Creating Made Easy Kit Club Kit
plus a whole bunch of amazing other items!
Happy crafting my friends, I hope you enjoyed my monthly tag project and I hope you had a look at the cool kit!

Mini ABC Album by Angel

Today I come to you with a Mini Chipboard Album of my dad's school days. You can get this cute chipboard album at ClearScraps!

This mini album holds sweet memories for me. My dad has passed away 4 years ago to cancer. My grandmother had given me the school photos she had of him along with report cards. It was such a treasure to have these items so I decided to make this mini album as a tribute of his school days.

Clear Scraps Supplies - All Mixed up Chipboard Album

There is nothing hard in making a mini album. To cover the pieces all you need to do is trace and cut from your favorite pattern paper.

Here is a peek of the inside pages...

Clear Scraps Chipboard Album - Angel Lebouef-2 Clear Scraps-chipboard album-Angel Lebouef 3

The first photo on the right I added a flip page so if you raise the flap you can add your personal information that is hidden for those who would like to read those tiny bits.

On this row the first photo on the right has a pocket in which you can add things too. I have added a tag to show you this as a example. I plan to try and shrink my dads report card and add to the pockets.

Again the same with the first photo. The square on the bottom corner is open at the top so you can tuck things in.

Such a great keepsake you can give to your family..

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Clear Scraps blog.  Nancy here today, and as promised yesterday when I shared my Tablet Stand, today I have another project using many of the same supplies.  The Friends Acrylic Mini Word Album and Forever Word Chipboard Title, we so fun to play with.  And this collection of goodies from My Minds Eye made the project quick and easy.

This mini album does not come pre-punched for binding, so you can choose the type of binding you prefer.  I happened to have this old stand lying around and thought it would be super fun to hang the album on.  But you could punch the holes anywhere you like.

And did you know that there are lots of these word mini albums available from Clear Scraps?  Be sure to check out the entire collection.

Hugs.

Pretty Little Stand

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Clear Scraps blog.  Nancy here today to share with you a fun project, a tablet stand, I made using the Clear Scraps Scallop Tablet Stand and some odds and ends on my table.

Tablet stand_clear scraps_nancy keslin

I used the same spray paint marble technique that I had used for the tag I made earlier this month (if you would like to see step by step, click here).

Tablet stand_clearscraps_nancy keslin

I covered the center of the stand with gorgeous goodies that were leftover from a project I plan on sharing with you tomorrow.  I love how these stands hold up my electronic devices when I want them to, but can look so lovely just standing on their own.

Thanks for stopping by....See you tomorrow.

Fall Mini Oval Scallop Clipboard

Fall is definitely in the air...ok at least where I live! I love this time of year with the beautiful colors of the trees!  This inspired how I colored my Mini Oval Scallop Clipboard and I'm going to show you my techniques!

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Oval_Scallop_Clipboard5

After removing the protective film from both sides of the clipboard, I used modeling paste and the 6 inch Tree Branch Mascil to create my image. I really love this Mascil BTW...perfect for fall themed projects!

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Oval_Scallop_Clipboard

Once my modeling paste was dry, I flipped the clipboard over and applied Ranger Alcohol ink to the back to give a beautiful magenta color!

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Oval_Scallop_Clipboard2

I then took three additional alcohol ink colors and lightly applied to different sections of the branch.  I found it easy to use a cotton applicator and lightly dab as little or as much as needed.  Remember it doesn't have to be perfect!  And its ok to mix the colors!

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Oval_Scallop_Clipboard3

Here are some close ups of the result!  I love how it turned out!

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Oval_Scallop_Clipboard4

I then added a few pieces of patterned paper, as well as a title cut from the Silhouette in gold foil paper. Lastly, I added ribbon to the removable clip that is included with the clipboard.

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Oval_Scallop_Clipboard6

Thanks for looking! I hope this inspires you to do some fall crafting with Clear Scraps! Check out the clipboards...they are one of my favorite products!!

Have a great day!

Wedding Layout

hi Friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a wedding themed layout made with some of my favorite products by ClearScraps!

IMG_3137

This layout has lots of fun techniques you can try! Here are a few of the supplies you will need, be sure to open minded to adding more as you go along.

IMG_3103

The first step will be to decide where you want your photo to be on your layout. Draw a line around the border of the matting with pencil.

IMG_3105

he next step will be to add your stenciling with modeling paste and I used ClearScraps Swirl Flourish 6x6 Stencil to push the paste through.

IMG_3107

Here is how it will look when it's dry.

IMG_3111

Now for the glimmer mist, be sure you have a paper towel close by.

IMG_3109

Lightly spray your color on and I dried it with a heat gun because I wanted to keep some of the large splatters.

IMG_3112

Once the color was dry I added splatters with several other mists.

IMG_3113

Keeping with the Swirl theme I added some stamping with ClearScraps Swirl Flourish Stamp.

IMG_3116

Next step is to adhere your mats to your layout.  I used 3 layers.  I adhered the first two layers to the background page and I wanted to give the top mat some dimension so I adhere a piece of cardboard to the back of the top mat and adhered it to the background mats.

IMG_3120

Time for the photo.

IMG_3122

The title is next, I simply used chalk ink to cover it and then embossed it with Copper embossing powder.  The title is a ClearScraps Chipboard word.

IMG_3123

IMG_3139

The final steps for this layout is to adhere all your embellishments and add your finishing touches.

I fussy cut some flowers from patterned paper and added a little more mist by painting around the photo with a brush and allowing it drip in places.

I added some seed beads and sequins with Gel Medium and allowed it all to dry.

IMG_3137

I hope you will give some of these fun techniques a try, stenciling is a great way to add dimension to your layouts!

Thanks for stopping by the ClearSnaps Blog today!

Friendship Tag

Hi friends!  Debbie with you today sharing my tag for September.  The theme for my tag is friendship because you never have too many friends!

I created this tag with a ClearScraps 4x7 acrylic tag.  You can do just about any kind of technique you want with these tags, they can be stamped on, embossed, painted and more.

I used die cuts on this tag because I wanted to keep some of the clear visible.

IMG_3136

I wanted the tag to have an appearance of an aquarium with fish swimming in it.

I started out by cutting 2 die cuts for the top and bottom and adhering them with glue dots.

IMG_3142

IMG_3143

The center of the tag was made by cutting a piece of patterned paper with two fish on it and adhering it to the back of the tag.

IMG_3144

The flowers are handmade with  stamped images and the die cut and layered.

The word Cherish is a Clear Scraps chipboard word  that I embossed with embossing powder in a coordinating color.

Thanks for stopping by the Clear Scraps Blog today and be sure to pick up some acrylic tags and decorate your own!
