Star & Snowman Shaker Ornaments by Pinky! NEW RELEASE!

Oh man, if you haven't seen the NEW Releases from Clear Scraps you are missing out!

Clear Scraps Ornament Shakers by Pinky Hobbs Snowman and Star2

Hey there friends, it's Pinky today and I had the privilege of playing with the new releases from Clear Scraps, the SHAKERS! Boy they are so much fun!

Clear Scraps Ornament Shakers by Pinky Hobbs Snowman and Star3

For the Mini Star Shaker  I painted the font with GOLD metallic paint and dusted with glitter. For the BASE of the shaker I covered it in Christmas patterned paper. Then I took the acrylic font panel. I removed the protective film and I used the 6" Holly Christmas Bulbs Mascil/Stencil with Gesso, coating it with glitter then allowing dry time. For the inside I used Stampendous Pearlized Mica Fragments.

Now I will tell you a mistake for the first time using them. I wish I had adhered the ribbon into the layers instead of punching a hole. Because I misaligned my hole. But sometimes we designers need practice (or common sense LOL). We don't always get it right the first time!

Now for the Mini Shaker SNOWMAN I used modeling paste on the top chipboard layer with glitter. I also used the 6" Holly Christmas Bulbs Mascil/Stencil with Gesso for the acrylic front panel, and some cool Christmas paper on the back. You can see I placed glitter in all 3 compartments of this one!

Loving these handmade ornaments and I cannot wait to ORDER MORE! My tree will be epic this year!

Check out all the latest designs, they are so fun,

Have a beautifully crafty Monday friends.

Sea of Wonders

Hello it's Angel here bringing you a altered clipboard that I have done. You may see a few post come up from me the next few months from this new girl. That's right I am guest designing here yippee.. Hope you all can get some inspirations from me.

My first project from me is using the Acrylic Clipboard. I love anything altered but you will soon learn to know that about me.

Sea of Wonders is what I am calling this.

August 2016 clipboard project

To color the acrylic I used StazOn in teal blue to the background using a piece of sponge. It matched the theme so perfect.

I also added shells and starfish along with some netting to make the scene look realistic.

August 2016 clipboard project closeup 2

Lets not Forget to take advantage of your pattern paper and fussy cut the images to use as part of your embellishing.

This clipboard would make a excellent gift to any love one. It can be used as a keepsake or just as home decor either way its sure to be a eye catcher.

Clear Sled Box

Hello! Jennifer here on the blog today! I hope you have been enjoying all of the wonderful NEW releases from Clear Scraps!  I am amazed on what Susan and Jim come up with!

Today, I'm sharing the new Clear Sled Box that I altered! How cute is this for a Christmas centerpiece or to add little goodies as a nice gift?

Clear_Scraps_Acrylic_Sled

The easiest way to color your acrylic is with alcohol ink! Here, I started with Ranger Alcohol Ink in Red Pepper and covered each piece of the sled.  After drying, I assembled my sled using the clear circle stickers and my Beacon 3-in-1 Craft Adhesive.  I then carefully covered the sled with newspaper and painter's tape so I could color the "metal" portion of the sled.  Using Krylon Spray Paint in gold, I added two layers of paint. It gives the sled a nice metallic touch!

Afterwards, I added patterned papers and embellishments to decorate. I then filled my sled with mini Christmas ornaments and sat it on my table in the foyer!

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to check out all of the new goodies at the Clear Scraps shop! Have a great day!

Pallet Christmas Tree Fun by Pinky

Hey there Clear Scraps friends, OH man, it's Pinky today and holy cow have you seen the NEW Pallet Christmas Trees? They are HUGE! Perfect for that Christmas decor year after year!

This is the Chipboard just bare (shop photo) but check out what happens when you start playing!

I wish I had 10 more to decorate. I started out by painting the entire thing in GOLD because I love gold at Christmas, then I took the 12X12" Holly Christmas Bulbs Mascil/Stencil and used Glass Glitter Gel to create a glittery holly snowflake landscape.

After that I glittered the star, with gold glitter of course and added some silver sparkly ribbon as "garland".

I cannot wait to hand this one of the wall this year, maybe drape some lights nearby.

Fun new designs, check them out! This one is 20"X28.5"! Fantastic home decor.

Have a beautiful Tuesday friends.

Pinky's Monthly August Tag!

Hey there friends, it's Pinky today. I am having so much fun with these monthly TAGS (Tag Album and Tag Box Set)! It gives me a fun medium to play with extra goodies I have in my stash. This month I chose to use a cool Mascil/Stencil from Clear Scraps, the 6" Butterfly Teardrop Mascil, which is one of my favorites!

Clear Scraps August Tag Pinky Hobbs1

For the front I took Modeling Paste, and a sparkle knife, I used the  6" Butterfly Teardrop Mascil and put the paste on it, then sprinkled it with glitter immediately.

Clear Scraps August Tag Pinky Hobbs2

Then I turned the Tag over after it dried and used metallic gold paint and used the same  6" Butterfly Teardrop Mascil to create the small gold butterflies.

After that I added some patterned paper to the back and the paper is from the Creating Made Easy August 2016 Kit, also the sticker sentiment on the front.

I punched some butterflies from the patterned paper and adhered them on in a fluttering design.

After all was said and done I mixed some gold and teal paint and brushed the edges very lightly, creating a shimmer around some of it mixed with teal.

It was a fun tag to create and I do love playing with glitter!

Happy Monday friends.

Friends Acrylic Binder Album

Hello everyone, this is Adora and today I am sharing  this mini album cover, created with the 5 X 7.5 acrylic binder,  6" Doily Mat Mascils and chipboard word title.  This is a good size mini album for quick and easy project.  I spray painted the background on the inside of the acrylic, then I use mascils and inkpad on top for design.  The chipboard title (friends) is spray painted also and to complete, I added a few more embellishments as shown.

3D Chipboard GLITTER Christmas Tree by Pinky!

Hey there friends, it's Pinky today and I am pretty excited about these new 3D Christmas Trees!

2

When I saw them I knew I wanted to make the largest one into a pure glitter tree for my tabletop during the holidays. If you haven't seen all the newest releases they are INCREDIBLE from Halloween/Fall to Christmas you are covered! 3D items for home decor, shakers, new stencils and more!

Clear Scraps Christmas Tree New Release1

For this tree I painted the base a green, then added green glitter of course. Then I shook it off to get the excess off and added a clear coat so it wouldn't shed glitter all the time.

Then I added roses from red rose ribbon and different pearl colors.

Oh and of course the star was done in gold (paint and glitter).

Check out the new items and thanks for dropping by today!

Two pages in one with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with an acrylic scrapbook page using the XL Dazed shape by Clear Scraps.  This one has the postage stamp edge.  When working on this page I thought it would be fun to make it two sided, so positioning my photos would be important.   I have blue cardstock under the acrylic page (just for photographing) wanted to make sure you see the edge on the XL Dazed shape.

C.mercer_ XL dazed shape_clear scraps

To start this project, using the Fishscales mascil, stencil on the front of the acrylic page, randomly.  White Stazon ink works great!

Aug14

Using black Stazon ink, add color to the chipboard word " Vacation". Set aside to dry.

Clear scraps_chipboard word_c.mercer

Mat the photo, add the corners and  the cluster at the end of the photo.  To make it a double sided page, do the same  thing on the back.  Stay within the elements, making the same size mat for the back as the front.  The cluster box, same size as the front.  Here is how mine looks~

Clear scraps_stencil_fish scales_c. mercer

I took advantage of the space and used that area to journal my page.  I wanted to use both photos and this was a great way to do that.

I haven't yet decided what to fill it with...perhaps chocolates?  maybe turn it into a cute gift by filling a cellophane bag with homemade Christmas cookies.  Hmmmm, the ideas are endless.  What would you fill it with?  Let me know.

August Tag by Jennifer

Hello and Happy August! Wow, summer has flown by!  Today, I'm sharing my acrylic tag for August!

Clear_Scraps_August_tag

After removing the protective clear covering, I used alcohol ink to color my tag.

IMG_4527

After the alcohol ink dries, I flipped over my tag to add texture paste using my 6 Inch Diamond Mascil.  Remember it doesn't have to look perfect and you can add as much as you see fit.

Here is a close up of the result! I love how it looks against the turquoise!

After everything is dry you are now ready to embellish! I layered patterned paper as well as little die cuts, a chipboard frame, and embellishments.
