Christmas Mini Star Shakers

Hello friends! It's Jennifer again and I'm excited to share another NEW great product from Clear Scraps!  The summer release has me in awe with all of the fun DIY projects! I hope you've been following along on what our talented design team has been doing!  One of my favorites are the Mini Shaker shapes!  Oh my goodness...how cute are these?!   I received the Mini Shaker Stars in my box and could not wait to create with them!  Each shaker comes with one chipboard back, 3 chipboard forms, and 1 acrylic shape.  These can be used as a mini album or as two separate embellishments!   I used mine as little tree ornaments but you can also use on a layout or card! 

I applied a light coat of white acrylic paint to my chipboard pieces....I wanted a little bit of a distressed look so I wasn't careful about covering all of the chipboard. 

For the acrylic insert, I used Staz On ink in black and a background ledger stamp. I then used a light worded pattern and adhered to the front of the chipboard back.  Next, I layer some fun little die cuts from a cute Christmas collection as well as added bakers twine to hang my ornament. (FYI, I used my WRMK Big Bite to go through all of the layers.  You can also line each piece up and punch before adhering together). 

My next shaker is all chipboard which I again colored with white acrylic paint.  I wanted it to be a true "shaker" piece so I had the idea of adding sequins under vellum. 

I adhered a darker pattern paper to the chipboard back then placed my sequins. I then adhered the vellum piece to the front chipboard shape and glued together. Lastly, I added some smaller embellishments to the side as well as added ribbon at the top.
