Scallop Clipboard Decor

Happy Monday friends, I hope your weekend was beautiful.

As June quickly approaches that usually means the end of school days and the start of Summer fun.
This year, my middle child graduates from Elementary School.

Of course, I had to order the picture package - what better way to display the photograph than to use something gorgeous from Clear Scraps. The scallop clipboard was perfect.

ScallopClipboard_LeahCrowe

I started by stamping a floral background stamp all around the edges.
I then used Beacon Zipdry to adhere my pattern paper to the backside of the clipboard.

ScallopClipboard3_LeahCrowe
I colored the chipboard maple leave with stazon ink, then stamped a floral stamp on it for some interest.
Its not easy to see here.

I adhered embellishments and there we have it.
A great home decor piece for your home or something nice to send to family for their home.

Thanks for stopping in today!

All you need is stencils~and paint!!

Hi, Connie here with a fun mixed media project using a bunch of stencils by Clear Scraps! To be exact I used eight different, totally unique stencils. The more the better.  You will need some acrylic paint,  texture paste and a canvas.  I used a 12" x 12" piece of canvas material for this project.

Clear Scraps stencils Connie Mercer

I started with adding texture paste and then paint with the stencils.  layering the stencils give such a great look.  Outlining the images, with a permanent marker pen,  is also fun.   Line up your favorite colors and start adding them to your canvas.   After all the paint was added and the canvas was completely dry,  use an acrylic spray sealer over the canvas.  Makes everything look bright and colorful.

Clear Scraps products used:

6" stencils: Polka Dots, Stars, Spiral, Heart Arrow, Spiral Dots, Diamonds and Chevron.

Border stencil: Hope is

Other :

acrylic paint, distress stains, Faber Castell/Whipped Spackle, vintage trim, Darkroom Door and Beacon Adhesive

Thanks for stopping by~

Clear Scraps Supplies Used: Clear Scraps Acrylic Tag Album

Other Supplies Used: Stampendous stamp (Graduation Background, Hat Toss, Dreams Come True), Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, Beacon Zip Dry Adhesive, Tsukineko (StazOn, Versafine), Craftes Companion Die'sire Star Dies, White acrylic paint

Instructions:

1. Remove protective film off one side of tag. Ink stamp with permanent ink and stamp on tag. When working with large background stamps, it is easier to ink the stamp and place the tag onto the inked stamp.

2. Remove film from the other side of the tag and color the stamped image with alcohol markers. Do not color on the same side as the stamped surface because the alcohol markers will react with the ink and blur.

Dream Stenciled Tablet Stand by Pinky!

Hello again friends, it is Pinky Hobbs today and I am so excited to share one of the newest releases from Clear Scraps, the Vintage Tablet Stand for my iPad in the kitchen!

Like everything else in in my house why not handcraft my Vintage Tablet Stand with touches that add my style.

Tablet Stand Pinky Hobbs Clear Scraps1

For this Tablet Stand I used the new 12" Heart Cluster Mascil to paint one of the hearts on the Tablet Stand and I used patterned paper to create a "window". Actually most of the papers were leftover from the Creating Made Easy May 2016 Kit!

Tablet Stand Pinky Hobbs Clear Scraps2

For the edges I used orange paint I had and the "feet" or legs I used graduated paint on as well. These new Tablet Stands are perfect for the craft room to watch tutorials while you craft, or the kitchen where I catch up with television shows while I bake or hunt down recipes. It keeps my tablet off the counter safe and clean.

I have an iPad Mini but it fits my son's full sized iPad just fine plus the cut out at the bottom for the charging cord is a nice touch.

Check out all the styles here: http://www.clearscraps.com/category_s/110.htm

Have a beautiful Wednesday friends!

Mother daughter MAY Tags

Happy Monday Clear Scraps friends!

Mother's Day is next Sunday here in the United States. As I sat down to make my May tag,
my daughter Samantha sat down and asked if she could create a monthly tag with me.

Absolutely! She chose to work with a scallop chipboard tag and I chose an acrylic tag.

MayTag_Samantha

Knowing she wanted to create with me, we took a little snap shot using my Instax Camera. It ran out of film before we could actually get the photo, so I thought I would recycle the box that holds the film.

MayTag_LeahCrowe

My tag is on the left, Samantha's is on the right. That recycled box adds such great depth.

She made her tag for her Godfather - and we both decided these would look fantastic turned into magnets for the fridge!

MayTag3_LeahCrowe

Not only did we spend time together, we recycled and created much needed magnets for the fridge.

They always seem to go missing! lol

Go forth, grab a couple packs of these tags and have some fun crafty time with a loved one!

Hugs from Samantha and Leah Crowe
