Hello Little One: Acrylic Scalloped Tab Album
March 10, 2016
Hello friends! Jennifer here on the blog today to share a mini book I created using the Acrylic Scalloped Tab Album. The Clear Scraps acrylic albums have always been my go-to ever since I started scrapbooking! I love the variety of shapes as well as the excellent quality of these books! I used a cute baby boy line from Carta Bella to make a brag book!
I used a star background cut file and backed with a darker pattern before adhering to my page. I am a fan of layering papers...its gives a little bit of dimension to your projects.
On one of my pages, I created a pocket to insert a manila tag that I decorated.
Hiding tags in pockets or behind photos is a great way to add more elements to your books. Here, I used a stamp to add birth date details.
In addition to pockets, you can also use a bone folder to create a flap. I usually will add stitching to hold the top layer in place.
I added a tab to the bottom of the flap along with buttons to accent.
And here is the inside of the flap...I left room for an additional photo as well as added some cut coordinating stickers.
I love adding extra pages to my mini books! Here, I used a kraft envelope that I altered with modeling paste and my 6 Inch Polka Dots Mascil.
I then added pattered paper and adhered the flap shut using a brad and some bakers twine.
Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Clear Scraps shop to see this and many more albums! Have a wonderful day!
