Life by the Seashore Clear Card by Pinky

Hey there friends! It's Pinky today with more fun new releases from Clear Scraps mixed with some favorites. The new Chipboard Embellishments are so fun and the Anchor and Helm are so cool. It's even better that it matched the Anchor and Helm 6" Mascil/Stencil!

CHA 2016 January Pinky Hobbs Clear Scraps5

I had some cool texture brown paint that kind of made it look like a mixture between wood and leather, so I used it on the Anchor and Helm Chipboard Embellishment and I also used it for the inside of the card with the Anchor and Helm Mascil!

CHA 2016 January Pinky Hobbs Clear Scraps4

I had some nautical patterned paper for the background, and used that behind the card base, hiding the adhesive with the stenciled anchors and helms.

I added some blue waves with a pearl pen, and a rub-on for the quote. I really think my beach living friends will love this card! Which Chipboard Embellishment is your favorite so far? I love the idea of using the Anchor for a card where you offer an anchor of friendship too. So many ideas and ways to use one piece especially when they coordinate with so many products from Clear Scraps, like the Sailboat Album would be a perfect fit!

Or check the post link below "You Are My Anchor" how cool would these embellishments be with those projects as well! Always a way to coordinate Clear Scraps.

Hope you enjoy your Monday friends, Have a beautifully crafty day.

Best Friends Scallop Chipboard.

Hello everyone, this is Adora and today I am sharing this project I've created with one of the newest of Clears Scraps product, the  scallop oval clipboard and dress form chipboard embellishments. This will look really nice as a wall decor don't you think, and I have the wall for it.  I can also give it to one of my besties :)

 _90A3457

I used some of my old stash of patterned papers. Traced and cut the shape of the clipboard onto the patterned papers, then adhere in the backside using all purpose glue then add embellishments on top.

Thank you so much for stopping by until next project.

Scallop Phone Stand

Hello friends! Jennifer here today with one of the newest Clear Scraps products, the Scallop Phone Stand!  I think the phone stands are one of the most innovative new products this year!  I'm going to show you how I altered my phone stand with an easy tutorial.

Clear_Scraps_Scallop_Phone_Stand

One of the easiest ways to color your acrylic is using alcohol ink!  I chose a bright color and a foam applicator to cover both acrylic pieces.

Clear_Scraps_Scallop_Phone_Stand7

One the alcohol ink was dry, I secured my Chevron Border Mascil with washi tape over the acrylic.

Clear_Scraps_Scallop_Phone_Stand4

Using a texture paste, I applied a light coat ensuring I didn't go "outside the lines".

Clear_Scraps_Scallop_Phone_Stand5

After your paste is dry you are free to embellish. Now, I love to layer A LOT so that's what I did!  I used a fun cut file from the Silhouette shop as well as stickers and die cuts.

Ta-da! Here is my finished product with my phone!  One of the many things I love about Clear Scraps is that you can alter the products in your own style!

Stenciled Vertical Home Word Frame by Pinky

Hey there friends, it's Pinky today with a NEW CHA 2016 release from Clear Scraps.

The new HOME Vertical Word Frame and if you notice the cool gold design in the background? It's the new 6" Mexican Tile Mascil/Stencil.

DSC_0943

I actually painted the stencil on the back using Metallic Gold Paint, then over-layed it with a leather brown color.
DSC_0947

After that I added lace to each side and some B&W photos of my boys which are always my HOME because I truly believe home is where my heart is.

DSC_0941

This was actually a photoshoot I did with my boys, and I am proud to hang this one in my livingroom.

Since these new designs hang vertically, they are perfect for hallways and beside doors.

I hope you have a beautiful Tuesday friends, please do share your crafts with us on Facebook and Twitter!

Until next time- Keep on crafting!

It's a Boy!

Happy Monday my Clear Scraps Friends!

Leah here with you today to share a layout featuring the fabulous new chipboard word, It's a Boy!

LRC_Liam_CLearScraps

My darling little grandson came a month early, so he was in the NICU for a couple of days.
It's been a whirlwind of joy and we're beyond blessed to have the cutie pie in our family!

LRC_Liam2b_CLearScraps

The frame around Liam's photo was made up of two leftover chipboard pieces from the new embellishments, such as the dragonflies or feathers. I just overlapped them a tad and adhered them together to create an instant frame.

LRC_Liam2_CLearScraps

For the chipboard title, I quickly ran some stazon ink over the title, then added Viva Decor Pearls to add some texture.
I then adhered the title over the frame, I just love the depth that created.

Check out all the wonderful word titles here.

Have a great week!

Small Deco Clipboard

Good morning Clear Scraps family!

Today I have a super sweet and fun clipboard to share with you today.

This darling deco clipboard can be designed to be in landscape or portrait because of the removable clip.

LRC_ClearScraps_BracketSmallclipboard

I decided to turn this one into a cute little dry erase to do board!
If you have dry erase markers, they work perfectly on Clear Scraps acrylic.
I hid the clip with the flowers, yet it is still functional in holding another to do list, or something more fun like a photo!

Check out all the other gorgeous Clipboards and the variety of sizes here.

I love to show the raw part of the chipboard on this project.

Explore: Helm and Anchor Chipboard Embellishments

Hello!  It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a layout I created using the Helm and Anchor Chipboard Embellishments. I even have a fun tutorial on how I altered my chipboard pieces!  Check out the wide variety of Chipboard Embellishments...I'm sure you will find the perfect shape for your project! When I saw the helm and anchor shapes, I knew I wanted to use them with this cute photo of my nephew!

Clear_Scraps_Helm_and_Anchor_Chipboard_Embellishments

I'm going to show you how I altered my chipboard pieces...I first applied a few coats of white acrylic paint and allowed to dry.

IMG_3534

I thought it would be fun to use ombre ink but you can use any ink you prefer.

IMG_3535

I turned each piece over and applied firm pressure to apply ink to the surface. I wanted some of the white paint to show so I didn't apply a heavy coat of ink.  However, you can add as much color as you like.

IMG_3536

Once the ink was dry, I applied a light coat of  Ranger Rock Candy Crackle Paint. Once you see cracks in the paint, you can utilize your heat gun to speed up drying time.

IMG_3537

To add a little more texture to the anchor, I used black in and one of my roller stamps and "messy stamped" in a random fashion. I love how it turned out!

IMG_3540

And here are the final results!  I added die cuts and a wooden veneer initial to the anchor to accent.

Leah's February Tag

I am so completely smitten with all of Clear Scraps tags!
For February I have this gorgeous scallop Chipboard tag to work with.

LRC_FEBTAG

I started off by adhering pattern paper to the tag and cut away the excess with a craft knife.

LRC_FEBTAG-howto1

If you wish, Ink the edge of your tag with your favorite blending ink.

LRC_FEBTAG-howto2

I then placed the new Dragonfly chipboard embellishment over top of the tag and spritzed them with Color Shine spray.

LRC_FEBTAG-howto3

I did this to create some interest on the background of the tag, as well as coloring the Dragonflies for embellishments later on.

LRC_FEBTAG-howto4

I then cut a piece of pattern paper 4" x 5", and folded three sides 1/4" on each side to create a pocket.

LRC_FEBTAG-howto5

Adhere glue to the three folded sides and place on your tag.
Trim a piece of paper 1/2" thick and adhere to your tag, then trim it to fit the tag.
Add some lace above the pattern paper strip, and adhere your dragonflies to your tag.

LRC_FEBTAG2

I found it easy to do that using my tiny attacher stapler.

Add a personalized message and a piece of chocolate in the tag pocket, and you have a beautiful and yummy treat for a special valentine.

Clear Scraps Chipboard Tag
Clear Scraps Chipboard Dragonflies Embellishment
Heidi Swapp Color Shine
Beacons Zip Dry glue
American Crafts Rise & Shine Pattern Paper (Kylie & Ella)
Lace ribbon and cording (misc)

Hope you have a fabulously LOVEly Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines Day...

Today's project features one of the new Mini Mixable Albums!  Instead of a traditional card, this would be a sweet gift to give to that special someone.

CS_feb16_love book1_wprice

I painted the chipboard pieces with gesso and scribbled in a bit of color with alcohol markers.

CS_feb16_love book3_wprice

I love the look of white on the kraft chipboard. I stamped the image in Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added a few stamped Valentine theme sentiments, a bit of pattern paper and some ribbons.

Vintage Phone Stand

When I saw the new phone stands I swear I squealed like a happy child!

Today I am sharing the Vintage Clear Scraps Phone Stand.

LRC_ClearScraps_PhoneHolder3

I made this with my husband in mind for his office at work.

I started by stamping all around the edges of the acrylic base and stand in Stazon Midnight Blue ink.

LRC_ClearScraps_PhoneHolder2
I then adhered pattern paper to the backside of the acrylic, hiding the Beacons Zip Dry glue behind the stamped images.

LRC_ClearScraps_PhoneHolder

I left embellishments off this to keep it masculine so I know my hubby will use this on his desk at work.

I can't wait to get more of these to decorate and KEEP for myself.

Products Used:

Clear Scraps Vintage Phone Stand
Stazon Ink
SEI Pattern Paper
Beacons ZipDry Glue
