Filled With Joy Window Hanger by Pinky

Hello friends, it's Pinky today and I wanted to share how easy it is to create projects of any shape using Clear Scraps Acrylic Sheets.

Beacon Tutorial Pinky Hobbs Sun Catcher Jar Unity7

For this project I simply used StazOn ink to stamp an image onto the Clear Scraps acrylic, then I used my scissors to cut it out.

Beacon Tutorial Pinky Hobbs Sun Catcher Jar Unity6

After that I coated each side with micro beads to make the jar appear to be filled, then stamped another image on paper to apply to each side. Then I used a punch to make a hole in the bottom and added a crystal. It makes a pretty sun catcher and the acrylic makes it so beautiful!

I hope you are ready to create in 2016, we have a ton of new product to start showcasing tomorrow.

See you next time!

Send it With a Smile- Card

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you a quick card I made using one of the Send it Clear card bases.  I love Send it Clear and this Half Fancy Card is definitely one of my favorites.  I am not much of a card maker so these fun little bases make it quick and easy for me to create something extra special.

The clear acrylic allows both sides of the card to show through and opens up some interesting opportunities for embellishment.

Be sure to check out the entire line of Send it Clear cards at Clear Scraps.

Christmas Album...

This year I created my Christmas album early, so all I had to do was pop in photos as we took them. I used a Clear Scrap chipboard Circle Album for the base.

I first painted my chipboard with white acrylic paint!

Clear_Scraps_Snowflake_Chipboard_layout7

Once dry, I applied clear embossing ink to each surface.

For one of my snowflakes, I sprinkled embossing enamel on top and heat dried. I love how it turned out!

For my other two snowflakes, I added fine glitter and set it with my heat gun.

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone! Christmas is upon us once again and let me greet you all a Merry Christmas. May the joy and light of Christmas shine upon you! Christmas is my favorite holiday of all, even with the busy-ness that comes with it, the hustle and bustle, the traditions - gifts, decorations, food,  etc,  but with or without these  we can truly be happy by celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our saviour, Jesus Christ.  He is the true reason for the season.

Today I am sharing this layout I've created with the XL Acrylic Deco Shape sheet , acrylic star border .

Need a quick gift idea?

Good morning Clear Scraps family!

Getting ready for the holidays can be super stressful, so taking a minute to make a cute card can actually do wonders for your stress level, and it takes around 30 minutes to complete. The perfect amount of time to unwind a bit and give some Holiday Cheer.

LRC_ClearScraps_TreeSendItClearCard

This adorable Send it Clear Tree Card is perfect for turning into a gift card holder.

I colored the tree with Alcohol Inks in green. I then adhered pattern paper to the backside of the card panels.

LRC_ClearScraps_TreeSendItClearCard2

Attach a gift card to the top panel with a glue dot, and on the bottom panel, include a little message.

Voila! Easy peasy and I promise you will feel much merrier carving out a little time for yourself.

I hope you all have a wondrous Holiday!!

Christmas Stocking with Mascils

Believe Stocking by Irene Tan 01

Hello Clear Scraps fans! It's Irene here and today, I would like to share with you all an altered canvas Christmas stocking. I've used tons of mascils and an acrylic expression by Clear Scraps to create details on this stocking.

It is so easy to decorate this stocking using mascils and some paints.

Believe Stocking by Irene Tan 06

I've used the vintage flourish mask and some white paint to create the details on the top part of the stocking. In the picture above, I've also used the Christmas bulbs mask and some dimensional paint to create some details on this stocking.

For the sentiment, I've used an acrylic expression as a mask and some paints to create it.

Hope you all like this fun little project and Happy Holidays!

Pocket page with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a pocket scrapbook page but with a twist!  I used one acrylic sheet by Clear Scraps with an acrylic word.

Dec1

Instructions:

1. Cut 1" off one side of the 12 x1 12 acrylic sheet by Clear Scraps.

2. Adhere the acrylic to the pattern paper using Beacon 3-IN-1.  The opening to the pocket will be Horizontal.

3. Add washi tape for design on bottom and top of page.

Dec5

 4. Use Black StazOn Ink and add color to the acrylic word (Purrfect).

Dec4

7. Make tabs for the photo pages.

8. Decorate the front of the Acrylic sheet.  For added interest,  I used the 12 Chevron stencil by Clear Scraps with black StazOn ink on the front acrylic page.

Believe Album...

Hello everyone.so are you ready for Christmas or have not started yet, well I am almost there. Christmas Acrylic Tree Album

Hello!  Christmas is just a little over a week away! Today I'm sharing a mini album using the Acrylic Tree Album! This mini is so cute...I love how the book "cascades" and each page becomes a larger portion of the tree!

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Acrylic_Album

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album2

I used my Beacon 3 in 1 Craft Glue to adhere my patterned paper to each page and then cut and sand the edges.

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album3

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album4

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album5

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album6

For this page, I colored the acrylic using red alcohol ink and a cotton applicator. I cut a 4 1/3 x 9 piece of patterned paper and scored it at the middle.  This allowed me to not only add a photo to the top of my folder, but also inside!

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album7

Here is the folder opened on the inside...I cut my 4x6 photo into three inch pieces and adhered on the opposite sides.

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album8

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album9

Not all pages have to hold photos! The last page is a full tree shape so I used different sized circles (using hand punches) and created a garland across the page!

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album10

Here is the back of my album...I covered with patterned paper and then added a cute die cut!

Clear_Scraps_Tree_Album11

Hope this inspires you to do some holiday creating of your own!  Have a great day!

Additional products used: patterned paper, stickers, die cuts: Crate Paper; wood veneers: Studio Calico; enamel dots: Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye; journaling pen:  American Crafts; bakers twine: Whisker Graphics; washi tape: Freckled Fawn;  alcohol ink: Ranger; misc: thread, sewing machine, paper clip.

Happy Christmas Banner

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a fun snowflake banner I made using the 6x6 circle album.   Don't get me wrong, you know I love mini albums...but I really wanted something to hang in my kitchen over the window since I spend so much time during the holidays doing dishes.

Happy Christmas_banner_clearscraps_nancy keslin

This project was simple and took only a little bit of time.  Easy to make in an hour or so....well, once you pick your snowflake design.

Happy christmas_banner_nancy keslin

I simply cut my snowflakes and sentiment from vinyl and layered onto the circles...how easy is that?  Strung the pages up with some glitter twine from my stash and added a few beads for extra sparkle.

Happy christmas_banner_clearscraps

Obviously this isn't my kitchen window, but that is where it hangs now.  And I love it.  The crystals catch the light and the sun shines through the snowflakes.  It is a lovely and simple projects that makes me happy while standing over the dirty dishes.

Thanks for stopping by.

I love it because it adds texture on my layouts/projects.
