Leafy Fall Wreath

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a fun fall project using a Clear Scraps Clear Craft Sheet and a mirror piece from a from the Oval Fancy Mirror Frame.

Supplies Needed:

Step 1:  Cut Clear Craft Sheet in thirds and die cut leaves.  I found by doing so I was able to create 9 leaves with just one sheet of Clear Acrylic.  The Clear Craft Sheet is simple to cut with a pair of scissors and it cuts even easier with the die cut machine.

Step 3:  After cutting, simply emboss with the coordinating Texture Fade.  Did you know that you can emboss your acrylic?  How cool is that?

Step 4:  Remove plastic covering from Clear Craft Sheet.  These leaves still have the sheets, but how cool do they look?

Step 5:  Ink leaves with Stazon and then spray backside with IrResistable spray in bronze.  The bronze irResistable spray really helps the leaves stand out while still highlighting the translucense of the acrylic.

Step 6:  Ink mirror piece in the same colors as leaves and attach words (I chose vinyl, but you could use a sticker, or leave this piece off all together.

Step 7:  Glue all pieces to embroidery hoop.  How simple is that?  I used a bit of Beacon Zip Dry.

I would love to see what projects you create with Clear Scraps.

Hugs.

Holiday Layout

Today's layout features one of the new Clear Scrap chipboard words. I love working with the chipboard. There is so much you can do to it! For this project, I painted the word with gesso first and then gave it a coat of gold glitter paint.

For the XL Deco acrylic shape, I sanded the back first. On the front I turned the Stripe Mascil on a  diagonal and added translucent embossing paste. Its not big enough to cover the shape at once, so after I did part I allowed it to dry over night, positioned the mascil back on the remaining acrylic shape and added the embossing paste to the rest of the acrylic. This is one of my favorite Mascils! Not only can you create stripes with it, but you could spin it 90° after stenciling, add another color and create a plaid effect.

The scallop piece under the title was cut off from the Sassy Mixable Album. I cut if off years ago because I needed the other part of the page for a project. This piece has been sitting in my stash waiting for just the right project. I sanded both sides of the acrylic to give it a frosted effect.

Hello Fall with Clear Scraps Chipboard Embellishments

Hello! Jennifer here today to share a layout I created using the new Chicken Wire Chipboard Embellishment! If you haven't played with these fun shapes and titles, you must check them out! There are many shapes and words to choose from that will be a great accent to your project!

I used Ranger Distress Stain Spray in Marmalade to give some color to the chipboard. I then adhered to my page using Beacon 3-in-1 Craft glue.  My "Hello Fall" title is a cut file from the Silhouette shop and white cardstock which I placed on the bottom third of my chipboard shape.

Here is a close up of the Chicken Wire Chipboard!

To give my background some color, I used the 12 inch Chicken Wire Mascil and Wheat Beer spray ink from Tattered Angels.  I also added a few coordinating enamel dots from my stash to accent.

Here are a couple shots of the rest of my page! To keep with the chicken wire shape, I added a few patterns using a hexagon hand punch.

Fabulous Chipboard Frames

Hello Clear Scraps friends!

Today I am sharing the beautiful chipboard frames.

Instead of using them as an embellishment, they were the perfect fit for creating a set of frames for home decor, especially since we just got School photos back recently.

LRC_ClearScraps_ChipFrames

Once I decorated the frames with Ink and Perfect Pearls, I adhered wallet size photos to the
backside of the frames. They are sturdy enough to hold up as frames, yet light enough to hang on the wall with just two glue dots.

This is the Deco Top Chipboard Frame

The Rectangle Deco Chipboard Frame

Another cool idea would be to turn these into Magnets for the fridge!!

Have a great week!

Border Stencils with Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with an acrylic scrapbook page to share, using the new stencil borders by Clear Scraps as embellishments for the scrapbook page.  Sounds like fun !!!! Let me show you what I'm talking about~

Nov2

Instructions~

1. Select the images, from the border stencil, you would like to add as an embellishment for the scrapbook page.  Mask it off and add ink.  Quick Quotes PowderPuff Inks work well for this.

Nov3

2. Next step is to cut out the image.

Nov 4

3.  If you are using an acrylic word ( splash )~ To add color to the word use StazOn ink.  It can be applied right from the pad or with a sponge type applicator.

4. Create the front of the scrapbook page and adhere to acrylic.

Nov5

5. Adhere the pattern paper to the acrylic.  By adhering the images to the acrylic first you have a idea as to where the adhesive can be applied so it won't show on the acrylic.  In other words the adhesive can be strategically placed.

6. Speckle with black ink.
