Acrylic Circle Layout

Dreaming of A White Christmas(resize) (do not use)

Hello everyone! It's Irene here and today, I would like to share with you all a Christmas acrylic based layout. I've used Clear Scraps XL dot as the base for this layout.

Have you finished scrapping all those Christmas pictures from last year? If not, here is a layout hoping to give you all some inspiration.

I've also used the snowflake mascil with some dimensional paint to create details on its background.

Merry and Bright Christmas Build It Your Way Album

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends in the USA!  Since tomorrow is the official start to the Christmas season, I'm sharing my mini album I created using the BIYW Small 7.5x7.5 Acrylic Binder and Regular Acrylic 6.5x6.5 pages.   I have been a big fan of the BIYW Binders since they were released and love the fact that you can purchase different chipboard and acrylic pages!  These binders are perfect for a Christmas countdown or December book!

Clear_Scraps_BIYW_Binder_Album

I simply cut 6x6 pieces of patterned paper to cover each acrylic page! As you can tell, I love to layer my paper and embellishments!

Clear_Scraps_BIYW_Binder_Album3

I layered a tag with different pieces of patterned paper as well as added ephemera, brads, and stickers. This page can hold a small photo or jot down a favorite memory!

Clear_Scraps_BIYW_Binder_Album4

I added a ribbon border  and stitched through with my sewing machine as well as added a cute brad to accent!

For this page, I created a pocket to hold a few tags that one can journal on.

For my next page, I used my 6 inch Circle Mascil  to add some dimension to the patterned paper!

Clear_Scraps_BIYW_Binder_Album11

I always first secure my Mascil with some washi tape to whatever surface I'm going to alter or color.  I then applied a light coat of modeling paste to the paper.

Clear_Scrap_BIYW_Binder_Album13

Before drying, I sprinkled a light dusting of fine glitter to add some sparkle! What's Christmas without a little shine? :)

And here is the end result!

Autumn Magnets

Hello Clear Scraps friends!

LRC_ClearScraps_LeafMagnets2

Today I am showing you how to take Clear Scraps embellishments and turn them into cute magnets to dress up your refrigerator!

For this demonstration I have chosen to use Clearly Accent Leaves Embellishments.

LRC_ClearScraps_LeafMagnetsHowto

You will need a selection of pattern papers, magnets, any Clear Scraps embellishment, Craft Knife & Cutting mat, Glue (I used Zip Dry), Stazon Ink or Alcohol Ink, and embellishments.

Start off by peeling the protective film from one side of the leaf, and adhere it to the pattern paper. Do this for all the magnets you'll be making.

LRC_ClearScraps_LeafMagnetsHowto2

Next, using your craft knife, trim away all the excess paper from your leaf.

LRC_ClearScraps_LeafMagnetsHowto3

Once they are all cut out, peel the protective film from the front and dress up the edges with Stazon ink.. or drip some alcohol ink on there to make it purty!

LRC_ClearScraps_LeafMagnetsHowto4

Flip them over, adhere your magnet using your Zip Dry and wait a few minutes for them to dry.

LRC_ClearScraps_LeafMagnets1

Then you can embellish them with glitter, buttons, dew drops, whatever you desire!

These would make a great housewarming or Christmas present.

Snowy Stamped Cards by Pinky

Hey again friends, Pinky here today.

Seeing Susan and Jim's snowstorm in Colorado this week, I was totally inspired to break out some snowy paper paired with Clear Scraps acrylic goodness, and makes some cards!

Avocado Arts December stamps Pinky Hobbs2

For this first card I used a Clear Scraps Mini Snowman Album Page, which I stamped  a sentiment on the front using StazOn ink, and added paper to the back with Beacon Adhesive.

After I shaped a card I stamped snowflakes all over the edges, and added Liquid Pearls, then popped the snowman up!

Avocado Arts December stamps Pinky Hobbs3

And for this card I created another "window" card using Clear Scraps Acrylic Sheets, stamped snowflakes on the edges and put the sentiment inside. Such a fun project

I hope this inspires you to try new ideas with Clear Scraps, have a beautiful day friends.

Grateful For U layout

Grateful_For_U_Irene_Tan_01(resize)

Hello everyone! It's Irene here to share another layout to celebrate this season of Thanksgiving. I've created a layout using an acrylic frame and a mask by Clear Scraps.

Grateful_For_U_Irene_Tan_02

To make the acrylic frame visible, I've outlined it with a permanent marker.

Grateful_For_U_Irene_Tan_04

To create the layering in the background, I've used the Forest Trees mask and some paints.

Happy scrapping everyone!

Chipboard Feather Embellishments

Thanksgiving is coming up quickly, so I thought I would whip up this card to give to family when we are visiting. If by any chance plans change last minute, this card would be a lovely addition to any center piece.

LRC_ClearScraps_Featherchipboard

The feathers are so fun to decorate. I just used some acrylic paint and some Color Shine to spruce mine up. The Feathers come in this lovely frame.

CSCEfeathers-2T

I snipped the feathers our carefully and now I also have a chipboard frame to use later on something else creative.

Have a great day!!

Simple Holiday Ornament

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a trio of simple holiday ornaments you can create this season.

Ornaments_clear scraps_nancy keslin

These ornaments are so easy to make with Clear Scraps Clear Craft Sheets and your favorite stickers, or in my case, vinyl I cut with an electronic machine.

Ornaments_cut

I began by cutting the Clear Scraps Clear Craft Sheet into a circle using my Sizzix Die Cut machine.  Clear Scraps Craft Sheets are simple to cut with steel rule die cut machines, scissors...or purchase some of the fun shapes that are pre cut for you.  Clear Scraps has many shapes to chose from, including pre cut ornaments.  I then cut my images to fit and applied to the acrylic.

Ornaments_sand

To add extra interest, you can sand the back of your ornament for a frosted look.

Ornaments_stickle

Or maybe paint on some stickles, or alcohol inks.  The clear acrylic allows for so many fun options.

How will you embellish yours?

Family Chipboard Word Title Layout

Hello friends! Jennifer here to share a layout I created using one of the new fabulous products from Clear Scraps! The Chipboard Word Titles are fun and easy to alter to fit any project!  I'm going to show you how I added some color and dimension to the Family Chipboard Word Title

 Clear_Scraps_Family_Chipboard_Word_Title_layout

I first added a light coat of spray ink to give the base a little color!  I  used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Wheat Beer.

Clear_Scraps_Family_Chipboard_Word_Title_layout2

After allowing the chipboard to dry, I placed the Chevron Border Mascil over the top and secured with washi tape.  I then applied a light coat of modeling paste to the surface.

Clear_Scraps_Family_Chipboard_Word_Title_layout9

Before lifting the Mascil, I applied another coat of spray ink to color the modeling paste.

I love using my Mascils to give some color to my background on my layouts!  I took the 12 inch Wood Grain Mascil and same color of spray ink and applied to my white cardstock.

Stenciled Layout by Pinky

Hey there friends, it's Pinky today with a mixed media layout of my son with Autism.

SNA July Issue Sketch Pinky Hobs Clear Scraps white gesso1

I created it for publication in SNA.

For this layout I used the Clear Scraps XL Deco Shape, which I used the Clear Scraps 6" Corner Flourish Mascil/Stencil with modeling paste in each corner. After it dried I spray painted the entire layout using Gold Metallic  Krylon paint, then I started adding the photo and embellishments.

I love the textured effect the modeling paste had on the corners. If you haven't tried the Clear Scraps stencils they are so much fun!

I hope you enjoyed my layout today, until next time: Keep on creating friends.
