Whooo's a newborn?

Happy Friday friends!!

LRC_ClearScraps_Owl

Today I am sharing this perfect Acrylic Owl Album with you!

LRC_ClearScraps_Owl2
LRC_ClearScraps_Owl3

This handsome little fella in the photos is my grandson. He was
born a wee bit early and had to stay in NICU a couple days until he was breathing
well on his own. I'm just now getting to play with his newborn photos, because he was born on the same day my oldest daughter graduated High School.
LRC_ClearScraps_Owl4

It has been a busy couple of months around here. The Owl album was perfect because Liam's nursery is owl themed - and hello? It's an owl - cuteness overload!
I adhered all the papers and photos using my absolute favorite glue, Beacons Zip Dry!

I left spaces in there for his mama to journal, as well as a spot on the last page for more thoughts.

What is your favorite album in the store right now?
Have a GREAT weekend!

Wire Mixer Back to School Layout

It's that time of year and the kids are going back to school! Today I'm going to show you how to created a fun background using the Mixers and a little bit of spray ink!

Clear_Scraps_Chickenwire_Mixer_layout

I almost always prefer to use a white cardstock background because I think it helps the colors to pop. But, feel free to use your favorite!  Place the Mixer on your background and spray lightly using your favorite spray ink!

Clear_Scraps_Chickenwire_Mixer_layout9

I chose to just use the Mixer and ink once however you can repeat as much as you like!

Clear_Scraps_Chickenwire_Mixer_layout10

Clear_Scraps_Chickenwire_Mixer_layout11

After cleaning off my Mixer, I used it as an embellishment on my page! That is one of my many reasons why I love the Mixers!!

Circles Acrylic Border

You Make Me Smile(resize)

Hello! It's Irene here and today, I would like to share a layout with you all. In this layout, I've used an acrylic circles border by Clear Scraps.

Here are some close-ups on it.

DSC_3014

I've covered part of the border with pattern papers and colored part of it with markers. Besides the border, I've also used a mascil by Clear Scraps. I've used a flower mascil by Clear Scraps to add depth to the background.

Have a great day!

Girls Night Out Layout

I don't know about you, but I feel like this Summer has flown by!

Today, I'm here to share with you a layout I created using my favorite Clear Scrap's product, the 12x12 Acrylic Clear Sheet. I just adore creating layouts using these!

To help the edge stand out more, I ran a bit of Adirondack alcohol ink in Stream along the edge of the acrylic. I then designed my layout and adhered it to the Acrylic using Beacons Zip Dry.

LRC_ClearScraps_GirlsNightOut2

My daughter bought tickets for us to see Christina Perri & Colbie Caillat in concert last month.
If they are in your neck of the woods, I highly recommend you go.. such a GREAT show!

Vinyl Split Letter Home Decor

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you another project I made using Clear Scraps, my electronic cutter and some vinyl.  I have seen so many of these split letter monogram frames and people who have cut themselves trying to create them.  Clear Scraps to the rescue.

Split monogram_nancy keslin_clear scraps

All I needed was a Clear Craft sheet, my vinyl, and an electronic cutter.  The Clear Craft sheet is perfectly clear and there is no chance I would put my hand through the glass.

I hope you enjoy this home decor project.

Happy - Scalloped Clipboard..

Hello everyone. Today I am sharing this project I've created with the large acrylic scalloped clipboard, one of the reasons I love this kind of project is for gift giving. Who does not like receiving personal gifts like this. It's fun and it's easy to make.

V90A9696

To create the background I used 12" flower mascils  and spray paint on the lower back part of the clipboard. I used patterned paper, glue it in the middle of the clipboard then spray paint the edge. Position my photos and embellishments on top.  To complete the look I also added the ornate flourish mirror embellishment.

Thank you all for stopping by and please come back for more............until next time!!

Simple Baby Frame

Baby_Handmade_Frame_Irene_Tan1

Hello Clear Scraps fans! Today, I have a very simple project to share with you all. It is a handmade frame. I just use two pieces of 6 x 6 paper pieces to create this frame. To decorate this frame, I've used an acrylic frame embellishment by Clear Scraps

Here are some details on it.

Baby_Handmade_Frame_Irene_Tan4

I've outlined the acrylic frame with a white marker.

Baby_Handmade_Frame_Irene_Tan3

To create the word "cute" I've used Clear Scraps "Precious" mascil.

Hope you all like this simple project!

Clipboard Mini Album

Hello! It's Jennifer and my turn on the blog today and I'm sharing a fun project I've been wanting to create for some time.  Ever since the Acrylic Clipboards were released I thought how they would make a perfect base for a mini album!  Using the Small Regular Portrait Clipboard, I added pages of patterned paper for my book!

Clear_Scraps_Clipboard_mini

Clear_Scraps_Clipboard_mini2

Clear_Scraps_Clipboard_mini3

The Mixers are another one of my favorite Clear Scrap products! Here, I added an embossed Butterfly Mixer to my page to accent!

Clear_Scraps_Clipboard_mini4

For my next page, I created a window using my die cut machine, a 12x12 Acrylic sheet, the 6 Inch Diamonds Mascil, and some modeling paste and glitter.

Clear_Scraps_Clipboard_mini5

First, I cut the Acrylic Sheet to 4 by 4 inches and placed my Mascil over the top (securing with washi tape).

Clear_Scraps_Clipboard_mini15

I then applied a thin layer of modeling paste ensuring to spread evenly across the acrylic. Before drying, I lightly sprinkled glitter to add some shimmer. You can also use spray ink as well!  I adhered my cut out heart patterned paper over the acrylic to create my window!

FYI, I cut each of my pages leaving enough room to score in one inch at the top. This ensures each page folds up under the clip!

Have a wonderful day!

You're the Best!

Woohoo, the weekend is here!!
Happy Saturday my friends. Today I am sharing one of my favorite cards from the Send it Clear line, Belgrave. I thought this would be a nice gift to give to the teachers as we start the new School year in just over a week.

LRC_ClearScraps_Belgrave_Yourethebest

You can go super elegant or rather simple as my design is, and the cards still look like a masterpiece, wouldn't you agree? I adhered all my elements using one of my favorite adhesives - Beacon Zip Dry. Seriously, it is one of the best glues when working with acrylic and chipboard!

I added foam dots to a couple of my balloons, and to ensure it stays put, ZipDry was placed on the foam dots to help it out a bit.

LRC_ClearScraps_Belgrave_Yourethebest2

Since my pattern paper is on the backside of the center panel, I will have my child write a message in dry erase marker on the inside. I think it will bring a smile on the first day back to School.

What's your favorite Send it Clear card?

We hope your weekend is a great one!

Acrylic Bookmarks for Back to School

Hey everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you some fun bookmarks I made using the Mini Card Album.  With school rapidly upon us I wanted to make something really special for the coming school year.

Bookmarks_nancy keslin_clear scraps

I found these images for free in the Cricut Design Space library and cut them out of vinyl.  The vinyl sticks perfectly to the acrylic album pages.  From there I simply punched an extra hole in the middle of the acrylic to string some ribbon and lace.

Thanks for taking a look today.

Enough ~ My word for 2015.

Hi, Connie here to share with you OLW (one little word) for 2015, using an acrylic word cutout by Clear Scraps. My word is ENOUGH.  I never seem to know when a enough is really enough.  I'm especially talking about my creative work. I want to do it all.  I do art, be creative, everyday during the week. It is my day job. I treat it like a job~I love it!!!  But sometimes ENOUGH already, I need that happy medium:)

Enough3

I used the Deco Shape to mount the ENOUGH acrylic word on.  It is covered with torn pieces of vintage book paper.  It is adhered, on the acrylic, with Beacon Decoupage.  The word is colored black with StazOn Ink.  The back is stenciled on with the Chevron 6x6 stencil using the black StazOn ink.

The left bottom corner is a cluster of embellishments.  The Mirror Butterfly by Clear Scraps is highlighted with a Beige Pearl Pen.
