Baby Layout with XL Acrylic Shape

Precious Baby Girl Layout by Irene Tan 01(resize)

Hello Clear Scraps fans! Today, I would like to share with you a layout using an XL Scallop piece by Clear Scraps.

I've lightly highlighted the edges of the acrylic piece using Copic markers.

Here are some close-ups.

I've used the Precious and stars mascils to create the background and the title.

I've also used pieces of acrylic from the Baby Embellishment set to embellish this layout. To create some textures, I've run the acrylic star through the embossing folder.

See you all soon!

A Decorative Pillow using Stencils by Clear Scraps!

Hi, Connie here with a home decor piece using, the very cool, stencils by Clear Scraps.  For this project I chose the Lamps and Chevron stencils in the 12 x 12

June1

The pillow is made out of canvas, making it a great candidate for stenciling with acrylic paints.  I used a steeple brush and just went slow.  Up and down motions.  I added some trims and hand crocheted flowers to the lamp shades after the front of the pillow was dry.  The last thing to do is stuff the pillow.

Smile Layout...

Today I'm sharing a layout I created with a XL Dazed acrylic shape and Ornate Flourish Border Mascil

CS_june15_RR_layout_wprice

I wanted just a touch of pattern on the acrylic background, so I used the Ornate Flourish Border Mascil to stencil a bit of StazOn.

Does anyone else's desk look like this when they scrapbook? I like to pull all the embellishments I might use and move them around on the layout. Often the layout doesn't end up how I originally envisioned it in my head, lol! For layouts with a lot of embellishments, its helpful to have a photo to refer to for placement when I pull everything off to add adhesive.

Graduation Banner with Leah!

Good morning Clear Scraps friends!

I can hardly believe that in just TWO days I will be watching my daughter walk across a stage to receive her diploma for Graduation! I am really behind in everything right now, including graduation decor. Thank Goodness I have Clear Scraps, I was able to create this banner in just a few short hours.

LRC_SmalPennantBanner_Grad2015

I am using Clear Scraps Acrylic Alphabets & Numbers as well as the Small Chip Pennant Banner in this project. I spray painted the chipboard banner with black spray paint. While that was drying I decorated the acrylic alphabets using stazon ink on one side, and alcohol ink on the other. I then outlined the letters using a sharpie marker.

For the last panel on the banner, I painted the acrylic numbers with Piccolo 3D Enamel Gel. I love how it came out. Here's to the graduating class of 2015!

Acrylic Mini Tab Album

Cherish Mini Album by Irene Tan(resize)

Hello Clear Scraps fans! It's Irene here and today, I would like to share this mini album which I've created using Clear Scraps acrylic mini tab album.

This is a fast and easy album. To decorate it, I've simply used some pattern papers to layer and detailed each page. For the cover, I've used a heart overlay and add some resin flowers and pearl flourishes.

Clear Scraps makes s any products that make amazing gift ideas and in this case bookmarks.

I used the Acrylic Angle Tags for these.

  • Remove protective film from back of Angle Tag.
  • Take red and purple alcohol ink and drop small drops onto uncovered back of tags.
  • Blend using cotton ball or blending dauber.
  • Before it dries quickly turn over and lightly press alcohol ink side onto scratch paper, this will gently remove part of the pigment from the middle of the tags. Allow alcohol ink to dry for a couple minutes.
  • Remove protective film from front of tags.
  • Take cardstock alphabet place onto front of tags (not alcohol ink side).
  • Take StazOn Jet Black ink and dab over front of tag, over letters (be sure to press ink into the crevices) but do not cover completely, you want to be able to see the alcohol ink colors come through from the back.
  • Set aside to dry for 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove letters!
  • Tie leather cording onto top of tag, or pretty ribbon if these are for a female. They look more masculine with the leather.
