You Lift Me Up Mixed Media by Pinky

Hey there friends, it is Pinky today with a Mixed Media project I call "You Lift Me Up". You know Clear Scraps makes a wonderful durable "canvas" for mixed media projects, I don't always want an actual square or rectangle canvas, I love having many shapes to choose from so CS Acrylic is perfect for this.

For this project I used a Wing from the Clear Scraps Acrylic Wings Album.

I actually took Modeling paste, and use the Clear Scraps 6" Monarch Butterflies Mascil I removed the protective film from the front leaving it on the back, I used a putty knife to apply the modeling paste to the wing. I set it off to dry for an hour.

After that I used 3 different acrylic paints and painted over the entire wing, blending the colors using a foam paint brush.

After that completely dried I used my hands to apply some teal mica powder over the entire wing for shine, and to make the butterflies pop up.

Then I painted the edges of the photo and added mica powder to the title as well.

You can use a brush for the mica powder but I used my fingers, it was quite a MESS I will say! haha

Hope you enjoyed my instructions and this mixed media project today!

Until next time, keep in creating my friends,
