Think Spring: Clear Scraps Large Scallop Portrait Clipboard

Hello Clear Scraps friends! Jennifer here today to share a spring themed project I created with the new Large Scallop Portrait Clipboard!  These are definitely one of my favorite new releases as they have a multitude of uses! For today's project, I decided to make a fun spring themed sign!

Another one of my favorite new releases:  the Mirror Embellishments!  I used one of the Feathers  to accent my sign!

I used a cute embossing folder for one of my Butterfly Mixers to give it some texture.  I then added coordinating flair to the center.

I used a cut file from the Silhouette Shop to decorate my clipboard (file#56870)

Friends Album - All Mixed Up Album

Hello everyone and happy Friday, don't you love Fridays specially around 3;30 pm, for me it feels like freedom :) I love my work of course, but it's work, you know what I mean, weekend is fun. Speaking of fun today I am sharing with you this  album I've created using the, Clear Scraps Acrylic Mixed Up Album.  What I love about this album is the different shapes of the pages, it's fun to work on and it's acrylic :)

I used patterned paper and spray paint on each page for background, then cut out most of my embellishments to match the photos.

You Lift Me Up Mixed Media by Pinky

Hey there friends, it is Pinky today with a Mixed Media project I call "You Lift Me Up". You know Clear Scraps makes a wonderful durable "canvas" for mixed media projects, I don't always want an actual square or rectangle canvas, I love having many shapes to choose from so CS Acrylic is perfect for this.

For this project I used a Wing from the Clear Scraps Acrylic Wings Album.

I actually took Modeling paste, and use the Clear Scraps 6" Monarch Butterflies Mascil I removed the protective film from the front leaving it on the back, I used a putty knife to apply the modeling paste to the wing. I set it off to dry for an hour.

After that I used 3 different acrylic paints and painted over the entire wing, blending the colors using a foam paint brush.

After that completely dried I used my hands to apply some teal mica powder over the entire wing for shine, and to make the butterflies pop up.

Then I painted the edges of the photo and added mica powder to the title as well.

You can use a brush for the mica powder but I used my fingers, it was quite a MESS I will say! haha

Hope you enjoyed my instructions and this mixed media project today!

Until next time, keep in creating my friends,

Winter Acrylic Base Layout

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year layout by Irene Tan1(resize)

Hello Clear Scraps fans! It's Irene here! I know that it is not a suitable time to share a winter layout but I'm sure there are scrappers out there who are still scrapping those winter pictures and needed some ideas.

Today, I'm sharing this winter acrylic base layout with you all and hoping that it will spark a little idea for your projects. I've used Clear Scraps acrylic sheet, snowflake mascil and acrylic banner embellishment for this layout.

To add some colors and design for the background of this layout, I've used the snowflake mascil with some white paint and . Later, I've misted it with some purple paint for color. To create the snowflake moving effect, I've let the purple paint flow by tilting the layout while it is still wet. For detailing, I've added some crystals to them.

I've attached pattern papers to the acrylic banner from its back.  The alphabets are attached to it using some foam adhesives.

Hope you all find this layout inspiring! Have fun scrapping and see you soon!

Spring I love you Scallop Card

Good morning Clear Scraps Family!  I hope your Easter was filled with happiness and love!

Today, I will share with you how I created this Scallop Send it Clear card.
Perfect to send for any occasion.

CSSICscallop-2T

I peeled off the protective film from both front panels, as well as one flourish embellishment and laid them out on a paper towel.

I then placed a 6" Shattered Glass Mascil over top of the front card panels (excuse the messy stencil as it has been well loved - hehe), and sprayed them with irresistible spray in white.

As that is drying (takes about 15 - 20 minutes) cut out your pattern paper for the base panel and ink edges if desired. After your front panels and flourish dry, ink those as well.

LRC_SenditClear_Scallop3

Next, assemble your front panels to the base panel using the included binding stickers.

LRC_SenditClear_Scallop4

Adhere your pattern paper over the top of the binding stickers onto the base.

To keep the front panels closed, I popped a diecut up on a pop dot, and adhered the flourish behind it, extending over to the left card panel. As you see, the flourish tucks behind the flower creating a natural looking closure.

And here it is opened up!
Embellish as desired and you are ready to send this beauty to someone special!

Have a fantastic day!

Gears and more Gears...

Today I'm sharing a layout using the XL Dot Shape, 6 inch Gear Mascil and Gears Mixers!

CS_april15_robot3_wprice

Instructions:

1. Using StazOn, stamp your images on the acrylic. I like to start with the largest images and then move down in size, filling the  acrylic piece.

CS_april15_robot1_wprice

2. After you have stamped your acrylic piece, begin coloring the stamped images with alcohol markers on  the opposite side. If you were to color on the same side of the acrylic that you stamped the image, the alcohol ink marker would react with the stamp ink and smear.

3. To make the stamped images "pop", paint over the colored images with white paint.

CS_april15_robot2_wprice

4. Using the 6 inch Gears Mascil, ink cardstock with teal and black Distress Ink. Stamp a design on the cardstock.

CS_april15_robot6_wprice

5. Using an alcohol marker, color the Gears Mixable. Flip the acrylic piece over and paint with white paint.

CS_april15_robot4_wprice

6. Adhere pattern paper, photo, Gears Mixables and embellishments to the XL Dots acrylic with Zip Dry.

Send It Clear for Easter ~

Hi , Connie here with a Send It Clear card by Clear Scraps,  just in time for Easter.  Nothing screams "special" like a Send It Clear card , so I wanted to send one of those!!  Here is what I came up with~

April1

Along with the acrylic card I used Bella Blvd. paper and inks by Quick Quotes, for shading.

April2

Here the card is opened!  The, plastic, orange egg is decorated with an acrylic Butterfly by Clear Scraps.  Clear Scraps carry all kinds of embellishments for craft projects.

April3

To shape the acrylic butterfly, take a heat tool and soften the acrylic.   It can be easily shaped when softened.  Just don't burn your fingers:)
