Throwback Thursday With Pinky!

I dug back to my first Clear Scraps post EVER and wanted to share it today, it is so much fun seeing my first post again!

Good morning, it is my first official post for Clear Scraps
I am just too excited.
I don't know about you but I am ready for some SPRING weather and some Springy projects!
For this Spring Sign (which proudly hangs on my front door) I took a 12X12 sheet of Clear Scraps Acrylic and using mytrimmer I cut it down to 6X12.
I used the new line All a Flutter from MLS and it came together in under 30 minutes!
For the grass I used my Fiskars decorative scissors (Heartstrings) and then snipped the grass blades and for the border I used the Fiskars Apron Lace punch.Welcomespring1
I hand cut all the shaped from the My Little Shoebox Papers, they totally inspired me,
I used Zapdots for the little ladybugs to pop them out and stickles to make it all jazzy!

Welcomespring2
I hope you enjoyed my first post, and if you decide to make your own Spring Hanger, please do share because I want to see it!
Have a beautiful Sunday, and Happy Spring!

Believe Word Title

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a fun Word Title, Believe.  Believe was actually my "One Little Word" last year.  Because I need to take more time to believe in myself and what I am doing.  I created this word title to hang in my office so that, even though it isn't my word this year, I don't forget the lessons I have learned.

Believe_clear scraps_word board_nancy keslin_final

This project was simple and quick to create.  I covered each letter with my patterened paper and then cut to fit.  A few floral embellishments and I was ready to go.

Believe_clear scraps_word board_nancy keslin

Clear Scraps has so many great word titles, and they are so fun to embellish.

So, what do you Believe in?

Hugs.

Spring Clipboard...

The new Clear Scrap Clipboards are a lot of fun to play with!

CS_clipboard1_wprice

I started by sanding the back of the Small Scallop Clipboard with sand paper. Next I sanded the front of the bird from the Bird and Cage Embellishments. I stamped over the part I sanded with white StazOn. I colored the back with an alcohol marker.   I decorated the front of the clipboard with pattern paper, bling, stickers and the acrylic bird.

Always Cherish Layout..

Hello everyone, today I am sharing a layout I've created using, 12 x 12 acrylic sheet ,  12" flowers mascils  and fence mixers.

V90A7188

This is a layout of my daughter and grandson, I think this will be her Mother's Day gift

V90A7189

Start with a blank canvas which is a 12 x 12 acrylic sheet. Use the flower stencil to create the background using spray paint. I first layout the flower stencil and spray with teal color paint, then once it dries out, I spray paint the second color on top to cover the expose acrylic.

V90A7156

Spray paint the acrylic fence to embellish the page.

Thank you for stopping by and keep coming back for more........this is Adora until next time!

Recycle using Clear Scraps Stencils~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page that I created using strips of paper from my scrap bin and stencils by Clear Scraps The paper had some stains but I thought I could use it for cards or a craft project. Clear Scraps to the rescue~

April4

*  I took the 3 different papers, different manufactures and adhered them to cardstock.

*  Then using the 12 x 12 Chevron stencil the stains were covered up easily.

April5

* Then I thought I would add a little "pretty" to the already pretty Mirror Butterflies

CSMRbutterflies-2

* Using the 6 X 6 Spiral Dots stencil the "pretty dots" were added to the Butterfly.

CSSMspiraldots6-2

* I love how you can recycle damaged goods by using cool products by Clear Scraps!

* StazOn ink was used to stencil on the paper and mirror embellishment.

I Am: Mini Mixables Album

Hello!  It's the weekend and I'm happy to share a cute little affirmation album I made with the new Mini Mixables Little Bit Album!  This album is only 3.5 x 5 and so adorable with alternating acrylic and chipboard pages!

CSMXlittlebits-2

And who says mini albums have to include photos?  I love creating albums with my favorite quotes or scriptures!  This mini is a great reminder of how we need to see ourselves!

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Mixables_Little_Bit_Album

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Mixables_Little_Bit_Album2

I used a small amount of white acrylic paint and lined the edges of the acrylic pages to help them "pop"!  It's easy to apply with a foam brush and dries quickly!

Clear_Scraps_Mini_Mixables_Little_Bit_Album3

I also used acrylic paint to cover the edges of my chipboard pages.  This page has a fun scallop edge!

Again, you can see I lightly lined the page with paint!  This one has a classic "postage stamp" edge!

The Story - Showy

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you my take on the Mixable, Showy, album.  This was a different shape for me.  So tall and thin.

Story_mini album_nancy keslin_clear scraps_cover

This shape is really fun to work with, allowing you to stack photos on top of one another vertically.

Story_mini album_nancy keslin_clear scraps_page 1

And, of course, being a Mixable, you have the fun of both chipboard and acrylic in the same mini.  So many fun peek a boos.

Story_mini album_nancy keslin_clear scraps_page 2

I decided to bind my mini with just a bit of twine, which allowed me more flexibility with the depth of the pages.

Story_mini album_nancy keslin_clear scraps_page 3

I also added a few extra flip outs to my pages.

Story_mini album_nancy keslin_clear scraps_page 4

The Showy Mixable is a lot of fun to play with.  Be sure and grab one, or any of the other beautiful minis for your next project.

Hugs.

Nancy

Spring Brings Fishing...

With spring comes fishing in our house! As the snow and ice melt away, our youngest son is ready to hit the lakes and start fishing. Today's layout features an older photo of him when he first started fishing years ago.

CS_april fishing layout_wprice

I used the XL Deco shape to build a scenic layout on. I love to highlight the translucent nature of the acrylic by leaving parts of it blank  as I did for the sky in this scene.

CS_spring brings fishing LO2_wprice

I added some cloud diecuts and a flair pin to represent a whimsical sun.

Flower Grab Bag album with Leah

Happy Monday Clear Scraps friends, I hope your weekend was wonderful.
Today I am sharing the Flower Grab Bag album I embellished to hold
the photos I took of my family over Spring Break. At the time I made this album, we were
right in the middle of our Spring Break stay-cation, which is why there are no photos in it yet.

LRC_FlowerBragBag

I used Clear Scraps 6" Chevron Mascil with course texture gel and acrylic paint to create this fantastic chevron pattern through-out the album.

LRC_FlowerBragBag9

While the paint was still wet, I took a Q-Tip to clean up some of the mess I had created while overlapping the Mascil on the album.

While I was creating patterns on the pages of the album, I also decorated a few embellishments as well, like the Fleu-d-lis you see on the cover.

LRC_FlowerBragBag2

I also rotated the Chevron Mascil slightly different on each acrylic page so you could see the other colors from the album cover.

LRC_FlowerBragBag3

On two of the album pages I adhered pattern paper to the back of the page just to mix it up a bit.

LRC_FlowerBragBag4

Embellishing the pages were quick and easy with the chevron pattern and colors. Pretty much anything I grabbed seem to belong there.

LRC_FlowerBragBag5

Now all I have to do is print out some 2 x 2.5" photos and add them to the album.

LRC_FlowerBragBag6

I can also print out any extra photos that won't fit on any other album page and place inside this little envelope here.

LRC_FlowerBragBag7

LRC_FlowerBragBag8

When you get a chance, check out all the fantastic Mascils Clear Scraps offers. I just used one and rotated its position in this album, and I really love the effect!

Thanks for stopping in!
