Remember- Clipboard Small Landscape

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing with you this project I've created with the new Acrylics Clipboard Small Landscape.   I love this clipboard so much, they're fun and so versatile. You can display it anywhere in your house.  This one will go onto my fridge with so many of my hand made refrigerator magnets.  Beside that it's acyclic, I love that it is a clipboard. I can create several layouts for it and when I get tired of this one, I can change it anytime depending on the season or what my mood will be :)

 

This project is fast and easy.  First - cut a patterned paper smaller than the acrylic clipboard. Use a corner rounder punch on four corners. Then  arrange and adhere the photo and embellishments  onto the patterned paper.  Then just clip the layout onto  the clipboard. To make this a refrigerator magnet, you can get magnet pad at any craft store, and add onto the back side of the acrylic.

Bloom: Clear Scraps Garden Acrylic Border

Hello friends! Jennifer here today on the blog to share a layout I created using the Garden Acrylic Border and the 6 inch Wood Grain Mascil.  Warmer weather has hit Central Illinois which puts me in the mood to do some spring scrapping! 

 

 

  

Here's how I embellished my acrylic border! First I applied a small amount of alcohol ink to the applicator. I use small circles to cover the entire face of the acrylic. You can also use a "dabbing" motion. 

 

 

After drying (which is quick!),  I used washi tape to secure my Mascil in place.  Using modeling paste, I applied a small amount and spread in a downward motion until even.  I did the same process for the top of the border as well. You can always use a 12 inch Mascil but I wanted the more fine details of the 6 inch. 

 

 

Here are some close ups of my acrylic border! I added in a few coordinating brads, sequins, and stickers.

Throwback Thursday - All Mixed Up!

Good morning Clear Scraps family! The weekend is almost here and today we are throwing back to an Easter album I created in 2012, the All Mixed Up Album. 

Featuring 6 pages of see through acrylic, you can have a merry time filling this beauty up with beautiful images of your own.

I went absolutely crazy adding dry embossing textures on the acrylic pages.

Lots of adirondack alcohol inks help create the festive look of Easter.

The Fleu-d-lis are still some of my favorite embellishments!

Spring Break: Theatre Chip Album

Hello friends!  Spring break is here for my kiddos!  Today, I'm sharing a mini album I created using the Theatre Chip Album.  I love the cute pages of this book especially the cut out windows of the front!  I first used white acrylic paint to cover the outer edges of the chipboard. 

   

Using an embossing folder, I added some texture to my Butterfly Mixer.  I backed it with another butterfly and added a button to the middle.  If you haven't tried the Mixers, I highly recommend that you do! They are great as accents as well as masks!

I (Heart) You Album By Pinky

Good morning friends, It's Tuesday and the week is ready to go!

 

I made this (Heart) You Album from Clear Scraps of course

one of their Mini Word Albums along with their Mascils and

some Krylon paint. 

I coated the cover with Krylon paint on the back then used a

Clear Scraps Mascil on the front with turquoise paint. 

 Every page I spritzed with Krylon paint on the edges. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the end I love it because it is my sweet boys!

Acrylic Film Border

Scalloped Clipboard..

Hello everyone, this is Adora sharing this project I've created with this awesome brand new acrylic large scalloped clipboard . I am excited to share this one coz it's a very fun product to work on, it's acrylic, oh and  and that's me in the picture :) . 
The process is similar to decoupage.

I love the look of acrylic on my projects  it's just give everything a finished look.  I first created my layout, layer patterned and tissue paper, add some cut out embellishments. Then use Mod-Podge decoupage medium to adhere all together and onto the back of the acrylic. Put a heavy item (books, etc.) on top overnight to flatten and get rid of some bubbles on the paper. to complete the project, add photos on top and embellish with chipboards, ribbons and more....

Hello friends, it's Pinky again with a very "Eastery" Desk Page Frame. 

For this Desk Page Frame I took the board inside and covered it with patterned paper, then I added the photo, I really didn't embellish the inside because it has to slide in and out for changing.

 

 

 

 

I took the outside and used some glass glitter and Beacon 3N1 to adhere it all around the edges, I used a swiffer to dust of the excess. Then I stamped a sentiment and a bunny on coordinating paper and trimmed it out and popped it up on the sides. It was not  a difficult project and I am excited to change the photo out. 

These Desk Page Frames are so much fun!

Adventures in Ohio

Every year my daughter has been in marching band, they have taken a 4-5 day trip. Last year they visited Cleveland, Ohio. A great way to document her adventure, was to decorate the beautiful new 6x8 Mixable Travel Album from Clear Scraps.

This album is so funky fun, it is definitely one of my new favorite albums!

They went to a Basketball game, The Symphony, The Cleveland Zoo, and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

A Scalloped Landscape Clipboard~

Hi, Connie here with a project using one of the new, small clipboards by Clear Scraps.  For this project I used the small Scalloped Landscape Clipboard.  This is so cute, actually all the clipboards are keepers!!!  I decorated this one, keeping in mind, I wanted to use it as a clipboard. So with that said, here it is~

The paper is by Kaiser Crafts. The photo can be changed out for paper . Either way works out great!!!  And it has the "super cute" factor going for it too!

This is just one, of many different styles and sizes.  They all have one thing in common ~ super cute !!!

Dream Big Album

Today I'm sharing an album I created using the Mixable Tag 6 x 8 Album. 

 

I adhered a mix of pattern papers, washi tape and embellies to the chipboard pages. 

 

I sanded the front and back of the acrylic pages to give it a frosted look.

Clearly Green for Saint Patrick's Day!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day Clear Scraps!
Are you wearing green today?

Today I am showing off a fabulous Clear Scraps Medium Oval Deco Top Frame that I have turned into a gorgeous home decor piece for Saint Patrick's Day!

I started off by peeling off the protective film from the front of the frame, and sprayed it with irresistible texture spray in the colors Bamboo, Black, and White. It was a heavy application, so it took about 30 minutes to dry.

While this was drying, I printed a cute Irish blessing on a piece of pattern paper, and cut it out to fit within the frame.

After the frame was dry, I adhered my flowers and embellishments, and tied a piece of gold ribbon to use as a hanger.

I love how the saturation of the irresistible ink is different in areas allowing light to peek through. The look of the piece changes against different backgrounds. Here it is hanging on my front door.

Water Marbling on Clear Scrap Acrylic

I have been seeing so many tutorials lately on Pinterest for nails. The only problem is I don't have long nails to play with, so I started thinking why not use Clear Scraps acrylic. Today we're going to play with water marbling. Because the nail polish doesn't mix with water, it will float on the surface of the water. 

You're going to need: a variety of nail polish colors, Clear Scraps acrylic pieces, toothpick or bamboo skewer and a container of water (not pictured).

 

 

The first thing you will need to do is fill a container you don't mind throwing away with water. You may have to experiment with water temperature. I used room temperature water. 

Drop your nail polish in the container of water. The nail polish will hit the water and spread out. You can alternate colors, dropping the next drop within the last. I played around with adding drops of color through out the water surface. If you'd like a marble look, take the toothpick and drag it through the polish. Be careful when lifting the toothpick out of the water that you don't remove all the nail polish with it. 

Remove the protective coating off your Clear Scrap acrylic piece. Be sure to leave the coating on the one side to prevent the nail polish from coating both sides. Carefully dip the acrylic into the water, submerging it. The nail polish will cling to the acrylic piece. Before you pull the acrylic piece out of the water, take your bamboo skewer and drag it through the water picking up all the extra nail polish. Now pull your acrylic piece out of the water. Shake off extra water and allow to dry. 

I used a bit too much nail polish when doing this tag and you can see how it clumped on the tag. No worries because I will be flipping the tag over to use on a project. The clumps will not be seen. 

Here is another tag I created using just white and red nail polish. It reminds me of candy!

 I decorated one of the tags with stamped images, bling and tulle.

Shabby Clipboard Tutorial

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you how I decorated one of the fabulous new Clipboards. 

Step 1:  Stamp the backside of  clipboard with a music staff and white Staz-on ink.  

Step 2:  Collage back of clipboard with papers (I chose some scraps of Prima Almanac).  Stamp front of clipboard with Butterfly stamp and black Staz-on.  Because the papers are on the backside, and the stamping is all done in a solvent based ink, the final project won't just be beautiful, but functional as well.  

Step 3:  Create bead dangle by threading beads onto a head pin and forming loop.

Step 4:  Feed headpin through fibers and tie the fibers to clip of the clipboard.  Embellish with flowers. 

Finally I wrapped more fibers and a small word band around the bottom section of the clipboard and glued.  I would love to see how you chose to embellish your next clipboard.

Chipboard Circle Album

Hello Clear Scraps fans! Time for me to share another mini album with you all. I've used Clear Scraps chipboard circle album to create this album.

Besides the album, I've also used some acrylic alphabets to form the title of the album. I've outlined the acrylic alphabets and then, dust it with some glitter paste for some sparkle.
