Create Large Expression

Hi everyone!  Nancy here to share with you one of the beautiful Expressions Clear Word Titles, Create.

Create_wordboard_nancy keslin_clearscraps

With just a few sheets of paper from a 6x6 paper pad, my trusty sanding tools and a few embellishments I was quickly able to create this home decor piece.

I always like to add my papers under the clear acrylic as I feel it adds extra depth.  And, it makes adding the embellishments so much easier...if I need to move something later I don't have to worry about tearing my paper.  hee hee

Altered Acrylic Deco Clipboard

Faith Altered Clipboard by Irene Tan(resize)

Hi Clear Scraps fans! It's time for me to share my version of the newly released acrylic clipboard by Clear Scraps. I've used acrylic Deco clipboard to create this project.

Here are some close-ups on it.

Besides, the clipboard, I've also used an acrylic frame which I've inked it with some alcohol ink.

I've used the lace doily border to create some details on the bottom of the clipboard.

I'm so in love with this new released! You will definitely see more clipboards from me in the future! See you soon!

Step By Step Technique Tutorial Mixable Album by Pinky

Good morning friends I have an album to share today it is one of the new amazing Clear Scraps 8X9 Mixable Home Albums with so many beautiful pages mixed in. I wanted to share how I created this album as well.

Clear Scraps Mixable House Album Pinky Hobbs Deco Art Brick Mascil Sand Texture12

For the fence I took the protective film off of the back and painted it with a brush, then I scratched it. After it dried I removed the film from the front and painted it with brisk red, then I wiped most of it off leaving only a stain.

After I painted the fence I took Texture Paste (Sand) and used the Clear Scraps Brick Mascil to create a brick wall, but trust me it looked nothing like a brick wall yet, I had to wait for it to dry then I added paint and mists including black mist. Now this technique would not work as well on the acrylic, you need solvent based products for the acrylic or paint it first so it has something to hold on to.

For the star I used Krylon primer paint in grey on the back then I brushed on acrylic paint on the front edges. Then I used a die cut doily to add a place for photos.

On the heart I simply covered in patterned paper, then inked the edges in mixed media ink.

For the back page I also used patterned paper I don't usually do that with my acrylic but you can do whatever you want! It's your beautiful album!!

I hope you enjoyed the album today, I know I loved making it!

Love You Banner

Raechelle here sharing a love-themed banner today. I used the Acrylic 5 Piece Banner as my base and the Mini Heart Album for accent pieces.

Love you banner {full}

I placed the patterned paper on the backside of each banner piece and then added the acrylic hearts to the front. I used some red spray mist on one side of each heart and this is the side I adhered to the banner.

Large Clipboard Decor

Hi, Lisa here today to share a home decor project I created using our new Large Deco Landscape Clipboard and our new Oval Deco Top Frame. I used white paint and our Quarterfoil Stencil to decorate the background edges of the clipboard, then used Teresa Collins inspiring quote and products to decorate the clipboard. Some Bazzill Flowers topped it off perfectly.  I did not glue the background paper to the clipboard so that I could change it out seasonaly.  I love how it turned out...these clipboards are SO FUN!

Love is in the air

Good Morning Clear Scraps friends and Happy Groundhog's Day to you.
I really hope Punxsutawney Phil predicts an early Spring this year!

Today I am sharing two projects with you, one of them is a set of ATC cards.

LRC_ATC1

I started this project off by adhering pattern papers to the backside of each card.

LRC_ATC2

I then ran each card through my Bigshot and gave then a bit of texture.

LRC_ATC3

Using various Stazon inks, I ran the ink pads along the raised texture to make it pop.

LRC_ATC4

I wanted to keep each card simple so I lightly embellished them.

LRC_ATC4b

Can you see that raised texture? So fun!
I plan on giving a few of these out and treating them like miniature cards for Valentines Day, or I could use them as embellishments on layouts! Oooh, the possibilities!

I also wanted to share a layout I created using the XL Deco Acrylic and Rectangle Deco Mirror Frame.

LRC_ClearScraps_Deco_Fitbit

The white you see behind the layout is actually clear.
I removed the protective backing from both sides, then inked the edge using Stazon ink.

I placed the heart background on top of the acrylic, and layered the blue Keep tag near the mirror on the back side of the acrylic.

LRC_ClearScraps_Deco_Fitbit2

I have had my fitbit a pretty short time, but I absolutely love it and wanted to showcase that on my layout by placing it in the gorgeous Mirror Frame. I am a inking fiend and also inked the edges of the mirror using the same color as on the edge of the layout.

Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!
