Christmas Chipboard and Acrylic Banner

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a Christmas Banner I created with snowflakes from our Gingerbread Acrylic Banner  and our Chipboard Banner.

IMG_8784

I covered three of the Chipboard with papers from Pretty Little Studio.  Then I layered Bracket cards with Glittered Snowflakes and die cuts.

I punched holes at the bottom to hang jingle bells from each piece.

The acrylic snowflakes I misted with Irresistible Texture Spray for glossy snow effect.

The whole banner was strung with tulle for a light and festive look.  I just love how mixing and matching banner pieces gave me a banner that no one else will have and I can use the other pieces for another project.

Believe in the Magic of the Holidays

Believe in the Magic of the Holidays

Are you taking time to enjoy the magic?

I'm doing my very best to relax and enjoy every moment.

Believe Wreath

I decided to add the Large Believe on the wreath on the front door.

The large Believe was made using Expressions Large Believe from Clear Scraps.

It measures 5" x 15".

On the back I adhered "nestled" scrapbook paper from Authentique Paper's Cozy Collection.

You can't really see it from the picture, but, it has a great sweater pattern.

After I trimmed around the letters using a craft knife, I used a gold paint pen to accent each letter.

Make sure to check out all the Expressions Large Clear Word Titles from Clear Scraps.

Merry Christmas,

Sue Eldred

Simple Holiday Decor!

Good morning friends! Leah here with you on this lovely day to share a simple holiday home decor item!

CSEAdeco-1

I chose the Deco Plaque, it measures 6.5"x 16"

LRC_ClearScrapsDeco

I adhered my Christmas element to the front of the plaque. I then added a hole to the top and tied a ribbon through so it could be hung later. I randomly added some red bling and finished it off with little pearls using my Viva Pearl Pen.

I photographed this on top of confetti tissue paper, but it's going to look so cute hanging on my wall or brown front door!

Have a great day!

Leah Crowe

A Pop-Up Birthday Card

Hi Clear Scrappers,

Katie here today sharing this huge card (A4 in size) I made for a 98 year old birthday granny whose birthday is this Saturday... I've recently gotten myself a Big Shot and with all the excitement, I decided to try die-cutting on acrylic... So here I'm sharing some of the die-cut acrylic using the 12" x 12" clear acrylic sheet as part of the embellishment here on the front cover of the card...

Hope this will inspire you guys a little...

I shall see you guys again...

Cheers!!!

Custom Mini Album

One of the most beautiful parts of using our Clear Acrylic 12 x 12 sheets is the ability to create custom covers for mini albums.  Sometimes, the products you're using aren't a standard size, like in the case of this little mini album I created for a Holiday Gift.

IMG_8742

This fun interactive Heidi Swapp camera card was not 4 x 6, or even 5 x 7...so using our Clear Acrylic Sheet, I was able to create a custom cover for this gift.

IMG_8743

This mini album was created using photos I took off my daughter's Facebook page.  I know she will be so surprised to get this...and it's a great way to surprise a gift recipient!  Just in case you haven't shopped yet and need to make something special!

I even used a little piece of the acrylic inside the camera "viewfinder" to turn it into a shaker feature...

IMG_8744

and just a peek at the inside...

Keeping the album on the smaller side helps with the resolution of those Facebook photos!  Hope I've inspired you to create something custom for someone you love this holiday season!

Holiday House

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a festive mini album perfect for your holiday photos.

Holiday_mini album_clear scraps_nancy keslin

I chose the House Album because I thought it would make a perfect winter theme.  With bits of "snow" made from ric rac and a holiday color palette, this mini came together in no time.

O Holy Night Decor

Hello Clear Scraps family, I'm back!! I'm so excited to be working with the gorgeous Clear Scraps products again. Today, I am showing a home decor item I create using the Tri Fold Rectangle Frame.

CSACtrirectangle-2T
LRC_CSTri-foldRectangle

This project came together pretty quickly. I adhered my pattern paper to the backside of the frames, then after the glue dried, sanded the edges on the back so the paper was flush to the edges.

LRC_CSTri-foldRectangle2

Using a spong paint brush and Luminarte silk paint, I edged each side of the acrylic to hide the glue.

LRC_CSTri-foldRectangle3

I cut this nativity scene from vinyl using my Cameo and placed it on the front side of each frame.

LRC_CSTri-foldRectangle4

This would make a great gift or a lovely addition to your fireplace mantle.
There are so many gorgeous Tri Fold frames to choose from, have you checked them out in the shop?

Supplies:
Pattern Paper: Heidi Swapp
Glue: Beacons 3-in-1
Paint: Luminarte Silks (golden monarch)
Ribbon: Celebrate It

See you next time,

Holiday Joy

Joy Frame for Clear Scraps

The Joy Frame is a Quick and Easy Holiday Home Décor project.

Supplies Needed:
  • 6" Nordic Snowflakes stencil
  • Chipboard Letters  (mine are 1/2" thick and 3 1/2" tall)
  • 12 x 12 Holiday Scrapbook Paper
  • Old Frame
  • Red and Cream Acrylic Paint
  • Stencil Brush
  • Tim Holtz:  Vintage Photo Distress Ink
  • Ink Applicator
  • Black Spray Paint
  • Craft Glue
  • Greenery, Gingham Bow, Button and Red Jingle Bell
  1. Remove the backing and glass from an old frame and spray painted it black.  My frame holds an 8 1/2 x 11 picture.
  2. Cut the scrapbook paper to size and add to frame.
  3. Paint the chipboard letters red.
  4. Stencil Snowflake design onto the red letters with cream paint.
  5. Apply a light coat of red paint over the snowflakes.
  6. Antique the letters with Vintage Photo ink and ink applicator.
  7. Glue inside of frame.
  8. Embellish frame with some greenery and a red and cream gingham bow.
I love using the word "JOY" in my holiday decorating.

Stenciled joy

Craft Confession:
The original plan was to have cream snowflakes on red letters.  After I got through with the stenciling, I thought the snowflakes looked too bright so I decided to re-paint the letters.   As soon as I put on the first thin layer of paint, I loved the tone on tone result.  Happy Accident!

Say Cheese...

Today's layout features one of my favorite Clear Scraps product...XL Deco Shape!

CS_polaroid photo layout_wprice

I stamped the XL Deco Shape with a background stamp repeatedly in white StazOn ink. One thing that I like to do is leave the protective film on the back. It gives the layout a slight frosted effect.

CS_Polaroid photo2_wprice

The Expression was outlined with a White Zig paint pen.

Handmade Ornament Tutorial Using Clear Scraps

Hey there friends,
How crafty do you feel around the holidays?
It's Pinky today with a project for your tree.

I created this handmade ornament using a SVG
file and  Card Stock paired with a Clear Scraps acrylic craft sheet.
1. Using heavy duty card stock and  SVG Oval Frame file- cut 2 in 2 colors.
2. Trim out Clear Scraps acrylic to fit in between (trim 2 CS acrylic pieces).
3. Adhere glitter to oner side of the acrylic piece.
4. After glue dries, adhere acrylic sheets together creating sealed glitter snow.
5. Adhere oval frame together alternating frame colors.
6. Adhere two frames together with acrylic in between.
7. Punch hole into top.
8. Add snowflakes and gemstones.
9. Thread ribbon through.

It's actually a heavy duty ornament! :)
