Personalized Napkin Rings

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a quick and easy way to personalize your Thanksgiving table.  I used our Clear Pennant Embellishments and some chalkboard paint to create these layered Napkin Rings for my holiday table.

I used some beaded napkin rings that I already owned as the base.  The leaf doily is from Dollar Tree and I die cut the gold vellum leaves with my Cameo.  The pennants I painted with chalkboard paint so that the placesettings can be updated from year to year to reflect the names of our guests.

Some seambinding and gold thread are tucked in and the whole tag is pinned with small clothes pins to the napkin ring.  I can see myself reusing the pennants for other holidays and layering them with holiday specific doilies and such...I love them!

Hope you like my quick and easy personalized napkin rings and that your holiday is full of love, laughter and family.

Holiday Tri-Fold Frame By Pinky

Hello again friends, it is Pinky today with a jump start on holiday gifts and projects.

Clear Scraps has everything you need to create handmade gifts for all those friends and family members. For this project I used the Clear Scraps Tri-Fold Frame, Clear Scraps Damask Mascil, Clear Scraps Flowers Mixers.
I took the Clear Scraps Flowers Mixers, I spray painted them gold on the back using Krylon paint, then I heated them up using a heat gun to make them bend and fold.
For the back of the frames I used the Clear Scraps Damask Mascil, and sprayed them with the same gold Krylon paint.

I wanted everything to be glittery and gold for the holidays and I added some rich velvet patterned ribbon.

I also added a crystal strand and spray painted the matting just on the edges.
I can't wait to display this one.

Then, add photos and embellishments, making sure that it lays flat since the acrlic will go on top. To adhere the acrylic put the glue onto the edge of the paper, then to cover the expose glue use stazon ink pad and directly smudge the edges of the acrylic.

I really love the depth that the acrylic gives my layout without adding any bulk to my page.  And, with the use of some Imagine Crafts IrResistable spray I was able to add quite a bit of texture as well.

Friends Word Frame - Nancy

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you this lovely Friends word frame I made for my daughter's room.

Friends_wordboard_clearscraps_nancy keslin

The minute my youngest saw this beautiful acrylic piece she clamed it for her own.   I decided to really girl it up, with just a bit of grunge (she is a teen afterall).

After collaging the word frame with bits of tissue paper, I used gelattos to add just a bit of color.

I used the 6"Spiral Dots Mascil with both some white crackle paint as well as some bead medium to add interest and texture.

Finally, I embellished the whole thig with some beautiful Kaisercraft Blu Belle stickers and loads of Prima flowers and resins.

Wonderful Layout

Wonderful(resize)

Hello Clear Scraps fans! Today I would like to share a layout with you all where I've used an acrylic ornate border and acrylic expression by Clear Scraps.

DSC_5896

First I've used the acrylic border as mask and created some masked images on the bottom left of the layout. Here's a very useful and simple tip. As most of the acrylic borders comes in strips of 12 inches, you can cut them up to use them in more creative ways or use them in different projects. For example, on my layout, I've cut the border into two pieces. I've painted one piece in black and the second piece, I've just outlined it with a black marker.

I've used the acrylic "Love" expression as stencil and trace it onto the layout.

Hope you all find this layout fun! Thanks for dropping by today!

Say "Hello" in an extra special way with Clear Scraps~

Hi, Connie here with a Send It Clear card  by Clear Scraps and a matching mini composition notebook.  This is a great set that compliment each other.  Great gift idea!

Augc1

Augc2

I used the Half Fancy Send It Clear card.  It is embellished with Jillibean Soup Paper, buttons and twine.  The paper is adhered on the outside, of the acrylic card, and then  adhered on front of the inside section.  Zip Dry by Beacon was used for this.  Making it ready to recieve your sentiment and signature.

I covered the front of the mini composition book with the same paper by Jillibean Soup.  I used the Small Circle Scallop Frame by Clear Scraps to embellish the front of the composition notebook.

Clearly Fall Card

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a Fall Friendship card I created using our Ornate Send it Clear Card and our Leaves Embellishment.

IMG_1035

I simply cut my patterned paper to fit the back of the card and using a denim needle on my sewing machine, sewed it to the back panel of the card.  I chose to keep the front panels clear this time and let the background do the work for me.  I used my favorite Zip Dry adhesive for the leaves...

And a peek at the inside, just waiting for a special message...

Live it Up...

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a circle homecoming layout featuring Clear Scraps XL Dots and Fern Leaf Mascil

CS_oct14_circle layout1_wendyprice

I love to emphasize the clear nature of the acrylic by leaving parts of the acrylic shapes without pattern paper. I used the 6 x 6 Fern Leaf Mascil to stencil in gold paint on part of the acrylic. You could also use embossing or texture paste instead of paint for a bit of texture.

CS_oct14_circle layout2_wendyprice

Tip: Instead of tracing and cutting out the pattern paper, I like to adhere it to the acrylic with ZipDry and then simply use my exacto knife around the edge to trim it.

Affirmation Frame by Pinky

Hi again it's Pinky today...

There are so many things that are special to my heart, from crafting to Autism, abuse advocacy, kindness and also empowerment of others. Anything that is true to you.

On my mind this week was a conversation with a few friends that I love
and my journey to become truly happy with myself.

But I feel like the journey I have taken has enabled me to have true compassion for
others who might have walked my journey.

I decided to make her this frame- as I created it, I felt the love in my hands and
as I kept adding more embellishments the more happy it made me.
which is 18" LONG! I love it!!
I wanted her to see this every day and remember that she is incredibly
beautiful and others see it.
This is how I created it, I would love to know if you decide to make one!

  1. Separate XL Rectangle Deco Top Frame and using Krylon Coral paint, spray paint chipboard base.
  2. Using Clear Scraps 12" Heart Arrow Mascil/Stencil and Krylon metallic paint (Brushed Nickel) spray paint edges and stencil onto base.
  3. Take white paper flowers of all sizes and the 2 Krylon paints, paint them using both.
  4. Using lace- adhere lace around edges onto chipboard (not on acrylic top frame) and trim off excess.
  5. Take acrylic top layer of frame and remove protective film.
  6. Using paper lace tape- add accents to top and bottom of acrylic as shown in the photo.
  7. Where you are placing flowers and accents use hot glue to adhere acrylic top layer to chipboard layer. (remember you will cover the hot glue with flowers and other accents so no glue will be seen)
  8. Hot glue gold sequin strand around inside edges.
  9. Layer flowers using buttons and pearls, I used foam pop dots to lift them up.
  10. Adhere to frame as shown using hot glue.
  11. Add crystals and keys.
  12. On the back add picture hanger.
  13. Take Thickers fabric letters, spray paint using BOTH paints.
  14. HOT glue the letters to base- I don't use only the adhesive on the letters for any him decor I always add hot glue or adhesive.

That's it! Put your empowerment message inside and give to a friend.

A Bible verse if you are inclined or a prayer, anything that adds encouragement.
Until next time- keep on creating!
